Thomas Rowe Joins ECI Group as CFO, Elevating Financial Leadership
Thomas Rowe Joins ECI Group as Chief Financial Officer
In a strategic move to bolster its leadership, ECI Group, a leader in the multifamily real estate sector, has announced the appointment of Thomas Rowe as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This transition comes as the current CFO, Ben Engel, retires after a decade of substantial growth and development for the firm.
With a remarkable career spanning over 30 years, Rowe brings a wealth of experience in real estate finance, having played pivotal roles in both the public and private sectors. His expertise encompasses a wide range of areas including real estate development, construction, and public financial management, making him a valuable addition to ECI's executive team as the company aims for continued expansion across the U.S.
Rowe's recruitment comes at a time when ECI is looking to build on its momentum within the multifamily industry, a sector which has shown resilience and growth potential in recent years.
According to ECI Group's CEO, Seth R. Greenberg, Rowe’s reputation as a financial strategist and his impressive track record, including structuring billions in capital for various development projects, positions him perfectly to steer ECI through its next phase of growth.
"Thomas is a proven financial strategist who has helped build one of the most respected development platforms in the Southeast, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the ECI team," Greenberg stated. He added that Rowe’s experience in scaling finance organizations will be instrumental in ensuring continued success and growth for ECI.
Rowe expressed his enthusiasm for joining ECI, stating, "I have long admired ECI Group's reputation for disciplined growth and its commitment to building high-quality communities throughout the US. I am excited to join Seth and the entire ECI team and look forward to helping the company strengthen its capital strategy and financing infrastructure as it enters its next chapter of growth."
Before joining ECI, Rowe spent over ten years at SJC Ventures, one of the nation’s largest developers of Whole Foods Market-anchored projects, where he directed financial strategies worth over $1.4 billion. His contributions at SJC included overseeing the financial aspects of more than 3.1 million square feet of mixed-use developments.
Additionally, Rowe held the position of Deputy CFO at Invest Atlanta/The Atlanta Development Authority for five years, further exemplifying his capability in financial leadership. A graduate of the University of Richmond, Rowe began his career in public accounting and has since held several senior finance positions.
