AI Storm and MCEI Tokyo Launch New Initiative to Empower Businesses through AI Consultation

AI Storm Partners with MCEI Tokyo for AI Consultation Series

AI Storm, formerly known as Jexceed, has introduced a new initiative in collaboration with the non-profit organization, MCEI Tokyo. This program, titled "AI活用よろず相談会" or "AI Utilization General Consultation Meeting," consists of three sessions aimed at helping businesses effectively integrate AI into their operations. The first session kicked off on April 22, 2026, at the MCEI Tokyo headquarters in Chuo City, Tokyo.

Background of the Initiative

As AI technology evolves at an unprecedented pace, the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry projects that Japan will face a shortage of approximately 790,000 IT professionals by 2030. Companies often find themselves grappling with crucial questions such as, "Where do we start?" and "Why does our Proof of Concept (PoC) not translate into actual business operations?" These issues pose significant barriers to Japan's competitiveness in the global market. AI Storm aims to address these pressing challenges directly through the consultation series, working alongside participating companies to overcome hurdles in AI implementation.

Theme of the First Session

The first session was centered on the theme "Discovering Issues × Generating AI Utilization Ideas (Current Situation Assessment Phase)." The focus was not merely on what companies want to achieve with AI but on how to convert AI into tangible business results.

Overview of the First Session

The inaugural event started with sharing successful case studies of AI utilization, followed by one-on-one discussions with participating companies to connect their pain points with practical AI ideas. The session was guided by AI Storm's CEO, Toshio Imai, and Chief Data Scientist, Hiroyuki Shindo, who has a Ph.D. in engineering from Nara Institute of Science and Technology. He has successfully led numerous digital transformation (DX) and AI projects in various industries. Together, they addressed the challenges faced by companies from both managerial and technical perspectives.

During the discussions, it became evident that even publicly traded companies struggle to fully leverage AI. While some industries are successfully advancing operational efficiencies through DX, few companies are genuinely committed to bridging AI applications with business outcomes. The first session sparked critical conversations, with Shindo sharing examples of new service development across different industries to help identify potential breakthroughs. The relaxed, small-group atmosphere encouraged honest and robust discussions, moving towards actionable insights for implementation.

Upcoming Sessions

The second session is scheduled for June 26, 2026. Building on the insights gained from the first session, this meeting will delve deeper into the theme of connecting AI with business outcomes, refining identified ideas into feasible projects. This session will focus on organizing KPIs, necessary data, and workloads, leading to the establishment of Key Goal Indicators (KGIs).

The third session will center around reviewing execution results and formulating improvement plans, with the date to be determined. Throughout this series, AI Storm aims to support participating companies comprehensively, from assessing the current situation to design, execution, and improvement of AI utilization.

Mid-Term Vision Connection

AI Storm has set a mid-term goal of reaching a market capitalization of 50 billion yen (approximately $500 million). Achieving this target requires not only the company’s growth but also collaboration with businesses dedicated to effectively harnessing AI. This consultation series serves as the initial touchpoint, enabling participant companies to implement AI solutions that drive tangible business outcomes. The cumulative effect of these collaborations will enhance AI Storm's competitiveness and propel it toward its ambitious market value target. The company is committed to accelerating progress toward this envisioned future with determination and strength.
