Digital Learning Consortium Launches New Research Group
In January 2026, the
Digital Learning Consortium (DLC), in collaboration with
H&S Holdings Co., Ltd. and
Cicom Brains, will establish a new research group focused on the intersection of
Generative AI and workforce development. This initiative seeks to explore innovative ways to integrate AI into educational and training programs, enhancing the learning experience and improving training quality.
Overview of the First Session
The inaugural meeting of the Generative AI and Workforce Development Research Group will be held on
January 13, 2026, from
15:00 to 17:30 at the
Cicom Brains Learning Center in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Participants can register via the DLC's website. This first session will concentrate on the
analysis phase of the ADDIE model, specifically focusing on
needs and persona analysis. Attendees will engage in discussions about effectively incorporating AI into the training processes while balancing speed and quality.

However, organizations face practical challenges in determining how to integrate AI into their processes effectively. Issues like quality assurance and copyright management are common concerns, underscoring the demand for a structured approach to share practical knowledge.
By utilizing the ADDIE model as a foundation, this group aims to collaboratively develop a standardized model for the integration of AI across all phases of educational program design and improvement. The research group welcomes participants from various sectors, including education institutions, corporate training departments, and instructional design professionals.
