Midea Unveils Innovative Heating and Energy Solutions at Chillventa 2026

Midea Showcases Innovations at Chillventa 2026

Midea's participation in Chillventa 2026, held from October 13 to 15 in Nuremberg, was marked by the unveiling of groundbreaking solutions in heating and energy. At this renowned trade fair, Midea showcased an impressive lineup that included indoor heat pumps, cold climate heating systems, intelligent comfort technologies, and advanced home energy management solutions.

Industry Recognition

During the event, Midea achieved significant recognition, being honored as the world's leading manufacturer of residential air conditioners with inverter technology for the fourth consecutive year. Additionally, the company received accolades for being the top global producer of air conditioners utilizing R290 refrigerant, further cementing its leadership in HVAC innovation.

Ralph Kobsik, CEO of Midea Europe GmbH, accepted these prestigious awards, highlighting the company's commitment to excellence and innovation in energy-efficient technology.

Introducing H-Pack

One of the standout innovations unveiled was H-Pack, a revolutionary indoor heat pump solution developed by Midea's European R&D team. H-Pack addresses unique European installation challenges by eliminating the need for external units, tackling noise concerns, spatial constraints, and building regulations. Its modular design streamlines installation and maintenance processes, while remote diagnostics minimize the necessity for on-site visits. The system is versatile, offering either fully electric or hybrid operation modes and has been demonstrated through pilot projects across Europe, showcasing its adaptability in various installation scenarios.

Experience VitaBreeze

Midea also highlighted its VitaBreeze technology, which features live demonstrations of its AirGrid system. This innovative technology allows users to visualize and control airflow via smartphones, directing it exactly where needed. Additional features include wide-angle air distribution, intelligent occupancy detection, Breezeless Pro technology with 30% broader airflow output, ClimaBalance for humidity control, and the ECOMASTER 2.0 predictive algorithm designed to optimize energy usage.

The Raynor Advantage

In the high-end split air conditioning segment, the Raynor series combines A+++ rated cooling and heating efficiency with award-winning design. The Raynor Pro, designed for Nordic climates, offers a remarkable heating capacity of 100% at -25 °C and operates efficiently at temperatures as low as -40 °C, demonstrating reliability in extreme weather.

Innovative Solutions and Cost Efficiency

Midea's PortaSplit has gained considerable interest through real-life installation demonstrations for window applications common in Europe. This solution provides flexible placement options, powerful performance, and quiet operation, offering a simple installation process that significantly reduces mounting costs. Starting from 2027, PortaSplit will utilize R290 refrigerant, aligning with Midea's sustainability goals.

Another notable innovation is MHELIOS, Midea’s comprehensive energy management solution for homes. This system optimizes energy storage and consumption based on dynamic electricity rates, thus aiding in reducing household energy costs and enhancing grid efficiency. Furthermore, it allows for integrated management of electric vehicle chargers, heat pumps, solar systems, and energy storage solutions. A case study in Germany revealed that households using MHELIOS could save approximately €1,866 annually with a consumption rate of 10,800 kWh.
