Business Jet Sets a New Standard with Gulfstream GIV Starlink Installations

Business Jet Leads the Charge with Starlink Installations

Business Jet has achieved a significant milestone by becoming one of the first companies to install Starlink on the Gulfstream GIV. The installations took place at their Dallas facility, following the awarding of the Supplement Type Certificate (STC) in late August. This advancement not only boosts their service offering but also caters to the growing demand for high-speed internet connectivity in the skies.

Details of the Installation

The installation process for Starlink on the Gulfstream GIV has been completed successfully, with another installation for the Embraer Legacy 600 scheduled for December.

Lina Sabbah, Director of Aircraft Solutions and Acquisitions at Business Jet, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion of aircraft models that can benefit from Starlink's capabilities: "The addition of the GIV to the lineup of approved aircraft has been met with enthusiasm from its owners and operators. We are proud to deliver tailored solutions to our clients, and this milestone supports this commitment." As air travel becomes an integral part of both business and leisure, ensuring dependable connectivity has never been more critical.

Enhanced Connectivity Experience

Starlink’s technology has already shown its potential during recent flights on the GIV, achieving download speeds of up to 295 Mbps. These speeds enable passengers to stream multiple movies simultaneously without interruptions or buffering—an experience described by users as a "Game Changer." Such capabilities not only enhance in-flight entertainment but also support business needs for seamless remote work, online meetings, and more.

Future Installations and Opportunities

The experienced team at Business Jet, known for their skill in installing Starlink on various aircraft, recommends integrating the installation with scheduled maintenance. With more STCs expected for other Gulfstream models and Bombardier Global series planes, the option for owners looking to upgrade their in-flight connectivity continues to grow. Currently, models such as the Gulfstream GII/GV/G450/G550/G650/G650ER and Bombardier Global 5000/6000/6500/7500/Express/XRS are eligible. STCs are anticipated by the year-end for the Bombardier Global 5500, with additions of models like the Challenger 300/350 coming in early 2025.

Business Jet is prepared to accommodate any aircraft needing an upgrade to its connectivity.
