SANY Launches Its First Remanufacturing Facility for Engineering Machinery
On December 23, 2025, SANY Group officially launched operations at its first global remanufacturing base for engineering machinery, located in Dongfang City, Hainan Province. This significant milestone in SANY's efforts toward globalization and sustainability was celebrated with substantial customer interest, reflected in the acquisition of orders valued at 100 million yuan (approximately 14.27 million USD) from Southeast Asia and Africa on the inaugural day.
The newly established site, known as the SANY Hunan-Hainan Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park, represents the first industrial zone in China created collaboratively by a pilot free trade zone (FTZ) and a pilot free trade port. This strategic positioning facilitates the enhancement of interregional connections between Hunan and Hainan, capitalizing on both provinces' industrial and political advantages to assist Chinese businesses in expanding their global reach.
The construction of the park commenced in August 2023 and spans an area of 150 mu (approximately 10 hectares), with a total investment of 600 million yuan (85.62 million USD). Upon reaching full operational capacity, the park aims to achieve an annual production value of around 750 million yuan (107.02 million USD).
Functioning as a regional remanufacturing hub and resource distribution platform, this facility will focus on the maintenance and remanufacturing of key components of engineering machinery and second-hand equipment sourced from both domestic and international markets. This initiative is poised to promote the circular reuse of industrial resources.
Moreover, the park operates within the Hainan Free Trade Zone framework, which allows eligible value-added processing activities to enjoy tariff preferences. Remanufacturing operations may occur under customs supervision and are entitled to tax incentives for both companies and individual taxpayers. The park stands to benefit from the 'Dual 15%' tax incentive policy, which grants a 15% reduction in corporate income tax for its outsourced processes.
In light of this development, Tang Xiuguo, President of SANY Group, articulated that this project is a cornerstone in SANY's strategic initiative to deepen its globalization, digitization, and transition towards a low-carbon economy. Looking ahead, SANY is dedicated to actively exploring innovative remanufacturing models, fostering the circular reuse of industrial assets, and contributing toward the machinery industry's transition to a greener, low-emission future.
This groundbreaking facility is anticipated to not only enhance SANY’s operational capacity but also serve as a robust example of how technology and sustainability can intersect in the manufacturing sector. As the demand for remanufactured engineering machinery continues to grow, SANY’s new base is positioned to emerge as a key player in meeting this rising demand while advocating for environmental responsibility in industrial operations.
In summary, SANY’s launch of its remanufacturing facility in Hainan marks a progressive step in the company's global strategy, highlighting its commitment to sustainable practices and resource efficiency in the engineering machinery sector. This venture is expected to significantly bolster SANY’s presence in the international market while reaffirming its ongoing commitment to innovation and ecological stewardship.
