Idemitsu Launches the Largest Black Pellet Production Plant



Idemitsu Kosan Co., headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has proudly announced the commencement of commercial operations at its Black Pellet (BP) production plant located in the Gia Lai Province, Vietnam, as of October 8. This facility marks Vietnam's first-ever BP production plant and stands as the largest of its kind globally, boasting an impressive annual production capacity of 120,000 tons. The purpose of this facility is to provide a sustainable alternative fuel to domestic Japanese clients who rely on coal, aiding them in their efforts toward decarbonization.
