Innovative Welfare Tools for Children

Japan Yamamura Glass Co., based in Hyogo Prefecture, is excited to announce its participation in the 25th Kids Welfare Tools Exhibition (Kids Festa 2026), taking place on April 18-19, 2026 at the Ariake GYM-EX in Koto City, Tokyo. This event, held over two days, focuses on accessibility and innovative solutions for children with disabilities, showcasing a fruitful collaboration with NEWSTA, which operates the 'Famicare' brand. Represented by CEO Mitsuko Suzuki, we aim to foster a child-friendly environment through our joint efforts.

Collaborative Project

The joint exhibition stems from our co-creative project, titled '#このアイデアがあればたすかる！ (If We Have This Idea, It Will Help!)'. This initiative invites insights and feedback from users—including medically cared children, their families, and caregivers—regarding challenges encountered in their daily lives. Our approach emphasizes a user-participatory model, utilizing real-life scenarios to drive product development based on genuine needs. This marks the third phase of the initiative, with our booth set to present feedback collected from visitors alongside engaging surveys and dialogue sessions.

Exhibition Overview

The Kids Fest 2026 is aimed at showcasing welfare tools specifically designed for children. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience, test, and purchase various products. Details for the event are as follows:

In addition to our collaborative presentation, Japan Yamamura Glass will display and sell our innovative medical and caregiving products at special prices. This includes the 'Perfectly Thickening Cup' and the 'Syrup Perfectly Syropi', along with a demonstration of our 'Pouch Connector'.

- Perfectly Thickening Cup: A shaker cup designed for easy measuring and mixing to ensure the right consistency for thickened liquids, aiding children who require specific fluid textures.
- Syrup Perfectly Syropi: A tool designed to accurately measure syrup-based medications for children, ensuring safe and reliable dosing.
- Pouch Connector: A product developed during the second phase of our project, allowing direct connection between commercially available pouch drinks and syringe for easy, one-handed operation. (Note: This connector is currently in the preparatory stage and will only be showcased, not sold.)

Through these efforts, Japan Yamamura Glass aims to incorporate the voices of caregivers and users into the product development process, making significant contributions towards a comfortable and safe living environment. This initiative also serves as a testing ground for expanding B2C product development possibilities within the medical and caregiving sectors, further promoting value creation that integrates into everyday life.
