Completion of LOGIFRONT Nagoya Minato
The LOGIFRONT Nagoya Minato facility, developed jointly by Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate and Toyota Home, officially announced its completion on November 28, 2025. This facility represents the first in the LOGIFRONT series within the Chubu region.
Location Overview
Situated in the Nagoya Port area, known as a key industrial zone, this facility boasts an excellent logistical position. Located approximately 4.0 km from the Nanyo interchange on the Nagoya Second Ring Expressway and around 4.2 km from the Minato-mei interchange on the Nagoya Expressway, it provides easy access for vehicles. The facility is also surrounded by major commercial establishments and conveniences, making it an attractive employment hub for the workforce of Nagoya, a city with a population of 2 million.
Facility Planning
Safety and movement efficiency are at the forefront of the facility's design. It features a four-story box-type structure, equipped with a one-sided loading dock on the first floor, and a versatile floor plan that allows for sectional usage. The exterior is crafted using insulated and aesthetically appealing sandwich panels that ensure durability and a pleasing appearance. The design incorporates a monochrome palette of silver and dark gray, while the horizontal accents lessen the visual impact on the surrounding area.
The interior boasts indirect lighting alongside warm wooden accents, creating a luxurious and comforting atmosphere in key areas such as the entrance hall and restrooms. To effectively manage height and weight constraints, two elevators and vertical conveyors have been provided, ensuring efficient movement of goods between floors. Furthermore, essential equipment, including the main electrical switchboard, is housed on the roof for additional space efficiency, catering to tenants' BCP (Business Continuity Planning) requirements.
Environmental Initiatives
The LOGIFRONT Nagoya Minato facility is the first major logistics facility to implement NSCarbolex® Neutral steel from Nippon Steel, which has been developed to actively reduce CO2 emissions. This state-of-the-art GX steel product employs a mass balance mechanism compliant with industry guidelines, enabling a significant decrease of approximately 10% in CO2 emissions during both production and construction phases.
In addition, the facility employs Nippon Steel's ProStruct® building solution, combining high-quality steel with advanced design techniques to optimize structural efficiency. Beyond the adoption of these new materials and solutions, Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate has previously implemented solar power systems and full LED lighting across its logistics properties, resulting in a commendable record in environmental stewardship, including receiving an A rank under CASBEE.
Moving forward, the company intends to continue exploring new tools and techniques to enhance environmental responsibility in line with rising ecological demands.
