T-Comm's Partnership for 'Honolulu 8-Day Tour' to Empower Self-Esteem

T-Comm's Commitment to Positive Change: Supporting the 'Honolulu 8-Day Tour'

T-Comm Co., Ltd., headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is making waves with its recent sponsorship of the "Honolulu 8-Day Tour: 'I Did It!' Changes the Future," hosted by Down Up Co., Ltd., from December 11 to 18, 2025. The company, led by CEO Miki Tanaka, provides a wide range of IT-related services, including logistics operations, ICT solutions, software development, and technical support.

Sponsorship Purpose and Background

T-Comm embodies a vision that emphasizes diversity and originality, encouraging innovative ideas and unique value creation that transcend conventional thinking. The mission focuses on fostering a society where everyone—customers, partners, and employees alike—experiences joy and a positive cycle of connections.

The tour's ideology emphasizes "enhancing self-esteem through challenges" and “learning about a coexisting society in Hawaii,” aligning closely with T-Comm's core values. Encouraging participants to tackle a marathon abroad boosts their self-confidence, while experiencing Hawaii's inclusive educational environment provides vital insights applicable to Japan's pursuit of a more inclusive society. This sponsorship serves as a reflection of T-Comm's commitment to “pursuing happiness” and “having an altruistic mindset,” which play a significant role in spreading smiles throughout the community.

Tour Overview and Key Activities

The Honolulu 8-Day Tour is designed for two exclusive families with children who have Down syndrome and will take place from December 11 to 18, 2025.

1. Honolulu Marathon Challenge
Participants will tackle various events:
- December 13: Kalakaua Merry Mile (1.6 km)
- Participants under 12 years old and their families are encouraged to join.
- December 14: 10 km Run & Walk
- Participants aged 12 and older, along with their families, will take part.
- Notably, the Down syndrome talent Ken Ta Abe will compete in the Kalakaua Merry Mile alongside his brother, Toshikazu Abe, showcasing courage and hope to participants.

2. On-site Observation of Inclusive Education
Visiting local schools in Hawaii, participants will have the opportunity to observe educational support structures and operational practices. This experience will enable them to learn about inclusive educational perspectives and practices that can be applied in Japan's educational landscape.

Future Prospects

This tour aspires to culminate in the submission of an opinion paper regarding the promotion of inclusive education to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology by March 21, 2026, designated as "World Down Syndrome Day." As a sponsoring entity, T-Comm is committed to supporting the success of this goal and contributing to the creation of a society where everyone can embrace challenges and experience joy.
