XCMG Secures Over CNY 10 Billion in Contracts at bauma China 2024
In a monumental triumph, XCMG Machinery, one of China’s prominent construction equipment manufacturers, announced the signing of contracts valued at over CNY 10 billion during the recently concluded bauma China 2024 exhibition. This event not only highlighted the company’s dedication to sustainable and intelligent industrial solutions but also its innovative approach to modern machinery.
Major Contracts and Collaborations
One of the most notable agreements was a groundbreaking contract with Fortescue Group, a leading iron ore producer based in Western Australia. This partnership, valued at CNY 3 billion, entails the delivery of environmentally friendly mining equipment. XCMG is set to supply more than 100 emission-free mobile heavy-duty vehicles by 2030, including electric wheel loaders, bulldozers, and graders. This pivotal move aligns with Fortescue's goal of achieving a completely emissions-free iron ore operation in Australia by 2030. The first batch of these vehicles will go into operation by 2026, significantly reducing fossil fuel consumption over their lifecycle.
Furthermore, XCMG signed a strategic agreement with Tsingshan Holding Group to establish a new facility for energy equipment in Indonesia. This factory marks a significant milestone, being XCMG's first large production site in Southeast Asia, specializing in new energy equipment production.
Additionally, XCMG completed the delivery of over CNY 200 million worth of wheeled and crawler cranes to China, featuring some exceptional models:
- - XCA4000: Recognized as the world's largest all-terrain crane.
- - XCA2000: Known for its versatility in wind energy projects.
- - XLC18000M and XLC17000: Innovative crawler cranes specifically designed for wind turbine installations.
Focus on Sustainability and Innovation
The contracts secured at bauma China underscore XCMG's commitment to leadership in sustainable construction and mining machinery. By showcasing more than 40 electric and hybrid machines, which comprised a staggering 42% of the exhibits such as excavators, cranes, graders, and mining equipment, the company demonstrated its prowess in clean energy solutions. Among the global debuts were:
- - XC9108EV: The largest fully electric loader globally.
- - GR350EP: The first electric grader designed for mining operations.
- - XCT100G5-1HEV: A 100-ton hybrid crane.
- - XE650GK-HEV: A hybrid hydraulic excavator for mining.
At the exhibition, XCMG also captivated visitors with demonstrations featuring equipment from the blockbuster movie
The Wandering Earth II, including the ET120, which showcased complex maneuvers such as obstacle navigation and precision positioning. This fusion of cinematic innovation and technical excellence reflects XCMG's forward-looking vision.
A Commitment to Global Partnerships
Yang Dongsheng, the Chairman of XCMG Machinery and XCMG Group, emphasized the significance of the partnership with bauma China, which has flourished since 1992. He stated, “Throughout the years, this global platform has showcased our commitment to innovation and collaboration, enabling us to face challenges and achieve success hand in hand with our global partners.”
In its efforts to promote global cooperation, XCMG introduced the XCMG TrueCare service brand and the WIN-win initiative focused on community well-being and environmental protection at the event. The aim is to enhance product and service quality while working in conjunction with global partners to ensure mutual success.
As XCMG continues to expand its footprint in the machinery industry, its initiatives at bauma China 2024 affirm its role as a key player championing sustainability and technological advancement in construction and mining sectors.
