The 91st Chicago Thanksgiving Parade: A Spectacular Celebration of Culture, Music & Community
The Chicago Thanksgiving Parade is set to return for its 91st edition on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. CST. This year promises to be exceptional, featuring a vibrant procession along the iconic State Street, starting from Ida B. Wells Drive and concluding at Randolph Street.
This cherished family tradition offers a morning filled with entertainment, showcasing elaborately designed floats, rhythmically performing marching bands, culturally rich ensembles, equestrian units, and much more, all performed by a mix of local, national, and international talents.
Featured Performances and Special Guests
The parade will kick off with a captivating array of live performances between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. This roster includes various cultural groups such as ArtEast Studio, Ballet Folklorico Sones Mexicanos, and the Chicago Huaxing Arts Group, presenting colorful and engaging performances that reflect the rich diversity of Chicago. The excitement continues with echoes of music from marching bands across the nation, including high school bands from Texas to Illinois, thus adding a rhythmic celebration to the traditional festivities.
For the
first time in the parade's history, we will welcome two bands from Puebla, Mexico: Titanes Banda de Marcha and Venados Banda de Marcha, bringing an international flair to our beloved local traditions. Festive floats depicting various cultures and communities like La Casa de la Cultura Guatemalteca en Chicago and the Mid-USA Falun Dafa Association will also take part, enhancing the multicultural aspect of this event.
Specialty Units and Equestrian Displays
Adding unique charm to the parade will be specialty acts like the 501st Legion Midwest Garrison and Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team, ensuring a wide variety of entertainment. Majestic equestrian units, including the American Sidesaddle Association's horses and others, will trot along State Street, creating picturesque moments for attendees.
A Celebration of Unity
Hosting this year’s festivities will be Maria Palmer and Maris from iHeartRadio Rock 95.5, joined by special appearances from notable figures like Miss Illinois, Nitsaniyah Fitch, and Miss Illinois Teen, Lillie Brown.
