BE OPEN Art Unveils Regional Competition to Empower Emerging Oceania Artists

BE OPEN Art, the renowned online gallery initiated by humanitarian entrepreneur Elena Baturina, is launching the second regional competition for 2025 targeted at emerging artists of Oceania. This initiative, now in its third year, continues the commitment of BE OPEN Art to highlight artists whose works convey their unique regional, cultural, and ethnic identities.

Over the coming months, the BE OPEN expert community will diligently select artists whose creations resonate with the rich artistic traditions of various regions within Oceania. This year's competition encompasses numerous countries, including Australia, East Timor, Fiji, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

The competition is structured to unfold over three months, culminating in the announcement of the Regional Winner for Oceania who will be awarded a €500 prize in early July. Additionally, this year brings an exciting twist: a monetary prize will also be granted to the Founder's favorite artist, adding an extra layer of recognition and motivation for participants.

Every month during the competition period, the online gallery will showcase artworks from twenty selected emerging artists hailing from the listed Oceania countries. This provides these artists with an invaluable opportunity to gain visibility and exposure. Furthermore, the public will be invited to vote for their favorite in the 'Regional Artist of the Month' competition. At the conclusion of the contest, one of the monthly winners will be elevated to the title of 'Artist of the Region,' based on public votes and those from BE OPEN Art community members.

Aligned with its ongoing mission, BE OPEN Art continues to spotlight fresh artistic talent. Each month, the platform features 20 new artists, engaging the public through voting procedures to determine the 'Artist of the Month' and ultimately the 'Artist of the Year.' This strategy not only champions emerging talent but also emphasizes social awareness and aesthetic solutions to pressing global issues.

In its pursuit of nurturing new influencers within the art world, BE OPEN invites art lovers and enthusiasts to engage with and support these dynamic initiatives. Elena Baturina’s vision for BE OPEN spans beyond art; it aims at fostering creativity, innovation, and actionable solutions to contemporary societal challenges. The broader goal is to create a platform where people and ideas can thrive together, enriching the cultural tapestry and inspiring future generations.

For anyone passionate about art, social responsibility, and cultural advocacy, participating in BE OPEN Art’s upcoming competition is a chance to make a difference while celebrating the creativity of Oceania's emerging artists. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to this meaningful endeavor to elevate and support artistic voices from the region who address today’s issues through their work.
