LX Pantos Completes Complex Defense Logistics Project for Modern Weaponry
LX Pantos Successfully Completes a Complex Defense Logistics Project
On September 8, 2026, LX Pantos, under the leadership of President and CEO Lee Yong-ho, announced the successful completion of a crucial defense logistics project. This project involved the safe transportation of air-to-air missiles (AAM) from France to South Korea, specifically for the Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) program of the Republic of Korea. The program is overseen by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) of South Korea.
The shipment of AAMs was facilitated by a European defense technology supplier and transported via chartered flight from Châteauroux Airport in France to Incheon International Airport in South Korea. After arrival, these missiles were delivered overland to the Republic of Korea's Marine Corps unit in Pohang.
To ensure the utmost safety and security during transit, LX Pantos utilized a dedicated charter aircraft exclusively for this shipment. The cargo was classified as Class 1 explosives, subclass 1.2, and compliance with the highest levels of security and safety protocols was achieved throughout the operation. Transporting hazardous materials such as defense equipment is a specialized task that must meet both International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations and relevant national aviation security standards.
During the project, LX Pantos secured flight approvals from 14 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, effectively coordinating multimodal transportation through its extensive global network. Notably, this project highlights LX Pantos' growing capabilities in the defense logistics sector, particularly since the company earned an
"Excellent" rating in a security assessment conducted by the Korean Defense Intelligence Command in 2024. Additionally, it achieved an AL3 rating, the highest level in the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) system, demonstrating its commitment to stringent global information security measures.
A representative from LX Pantos commented that this project showcases the company’s advanced expertise in security, protection, and logistics, emphasizing that LX Pantos will continue to support global clients in the defense sector and enhance its role in the defense logistics market.
