Seattle-based fashion retailer, Nordstrom, Inc., has exciting news for shoppers in Wellington, Florida. The company is preparing to open a new Nordstrom Rack store in the spring of 2027, marking a significant expansion of its footprint in the Sunshine State.
A New Community Hub
Nordstrom Rack President, Gemma Lionello, expressed enthusiasm about becoming part of the Wellington community. She emphasized the brand's commitment to providing exceptional value, stating, "We look forward to being a part of the Wellington community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices." This new location is poised to enhance the shopping experience for local residents by introducing them to the Nordstrom offerings.
With a spacious footprint of 22,000 square feet, the new store will be situated at The Shoppes at Isla Verde, a vibrant shopping destination that features popular retailers such as Best Buy, Homesense, Total Wine & More, and Petco. This shopping center, ideally located off State Road 7 and US 441, is owned by a MetLife Investment Management client and managed by Urban Retail Properties. Paul Motta, COO of Urban Properties, LLC, highlighted the significance of this addition, calling Nordstrom Rack a "marquee addition to The Shoppes at Isla Verde."
Exceptional Deals Await
Nordstrom Rack serves as the off-price retail arm of Nordstrom, Inc., allowing customers to enjoy discounts of up to 70% on trendy apparel, accessories, beauty products, home decor, and shoes from renowned brands available at Nordstrom stores. Furthermore, Lionello noted that the new Wellington location would also provide services like online order pickup from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, alongside convenient return options.
This expansion reflects Nordstrom's strategic growth in the Miami market, as the brand aims to attract new customers while enhancing accessibility to its popular offerings. The company already operates six Nordstrom stores and 23 Nordstrom Rack locations in Florida, contributing to the creation of over 2,900 jobs statewide.
A Legacy of Service
Founded in 1901 as a shoe store, Nordstrom has always focused on providing outstanding service and meeting customer needs. This new opening is another step forward in upholding that heritage while adapting to the evolving retail landscape. The interconnected shopping model of Nordstrom allows customers to shop in-store or online seamlessly, whether at one of their nearly 400 locations or through digital platforms. This approach reflects the brand's commitment to being accessible and to maintaining a personal connection with every customer.
