Queclink Unveils Vision for Smart and Sustainable Cities at MWC Barcelona 2025
In the realm of Internet of Things (IoT), Queclink has once again established its position as a frontrunner at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025. The event showcased groundbreaking solutions tailored for smart cities and industrial automation, with a focus on enhancing connectivity, sustainability, and safety.
A highlight of Queclink's presentation was the innovative V16 Smart Emergency Light, a vehicular safety device meant to revolutionize roadside assistance. Currently in select pilot projects, the V16 is integrated with IoT connectivity to provide real-time breakdown alerts, which aligns with Spain's 2026 mandate for connected emergency beacons. Though officially not launched yet, its introduction at MWC signifies a leap forward in traffic safety and roadside assistance.
In addition to the V16, Queclink demonstrated its solar-powered asset tracking solutions, designed for sustainability with a lifespan of up to ten years without maintenance. This is particularly relevant as Spain accelerates its smart city initiatives, promoting optimized energy usage and real-time urban monitoring while significantly reducing emissions.
Another key innovation presented was the WR310, a 5G industrial router engineered for high-speed, low-latency communication in manufacturing applications, automation, and smart networking. The WR310 features 5G SA/NSA technology, Wi-Fi 6, dual SIM functionality, and extensive industrial interfaces, effectively bridging the gap between legacy systems and next-generation connectivity for seamless automation and real-time data sharing.
During a pre-MWC workshop, industry experts convoked by Queclink examined the role of 5G and IoT in propelling Spain's digital transformation across diverse sectors like logistics, telemedicine, and smart utilities. The discussions underscored the growing demand for scalable and efficient IoT solutions, highlighting Queclink’s critical role in driving this change. Alfredo Cabañas, Queclink's Business Development Manager for Spain and workshop host, emphasized, “The future of smart cities and industrial automation relies heavily on reliable and intelligent IoT solutions. Here at MWC 2025, we illustrated how our innovations enhance safety, sustainability, and efficiency through connectivity.”
With a strong presence at MWC Barcelona 2025, Queclink reaffirmed its leadership in the IoT realm, showcasing technologies that promise real-world impact. This commitment to innovation not only positions Queclink as a sustainable technology leader but also paves the way for more interconnected and efficient urban environments.
