Embrace New Educational Opportunities at the 2025 Open Campus of Social Design Graduate School
The Social Design Graduate School (SDGS), located in Minato, Tokyo, is excited to announce its Open Campus event for 2025, scheduled for two days, October 4th and 5th. This event provides a unique opportunity for prospective students, professionals in education, community leaders, and businesses to explore the diverse academic offerings and supportive learning environment available at SDGS.
Event Overview
The Open Campus will be held on October 4th from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM and on October 5th from 10:00 AM to 5:45 PM. Participants can attend in person at our South Aoyama facilities or join online. The event will highlight the offerings of three key research departments: the Department of Social Design, the Communication Design Department, and the Practical Education Department, alongside short-term professional training programs.

October 5th:
- - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Experience class on the fundamentals of communication design led by Professor Junji Hashimoto.
- - 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Round-table discussion within the Communication Design Department.
- - 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Experience class on regional innovation by Professor Konomi Ikebei.
- - 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Student round-table in the Social Design Department.
- - 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Seminar on AI and practical knowledge by Professor Ryuji Kawayama.
- - 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM: Round-table discussion in the Practical Education Department.
About the Social Design Graduate School
Established on April 1, 2017, SDGS aims to nurture professionals capable of executing communication strategies rooted in organizational values. The school's departments include the Communication Design Department, the Practical Education Department, and the soon-to-be-launched Social Design Department, set to open in April 2024. This new department will focus on addressing societal challenges through innovative social design, empowering graduates with the Master of Social Design degree.
The school values continuous professional development, offering participants the chance to explore several training programs funded by the Japanese government, which provides monetary support for professional training under specific conditions.
