From July 18 to September 23, 2026, the Kyocera Museum of Art in Kyoto will be the venue for the innovative exhibition titled 'KUNIYOSHI IMMERSIVE ART.' This immersive art experience presents visitors with a unique opportunity to step inside the vivid universe of Ukiyo-e, a traditional Japanese art form, particularly focusing on the works of the renowned artist Utagawa Kuniyoshi.

An Exhibition of Dynamic Art



Produced by Hitohata Inc. under the leadership of CEO Takuaki Higashiyama, this exhibit will be featured as part of the 'Super Creator of Ukiyo-e: Utagawa Kuniyoshi Exhibition,' organized in collaboration with Kansai TV, Sankei Shimbun, Kyoto Newspaper, and the city of Kyoto. The exhibition aims to merge technology and art, utilizing 3D CG animation and projection mapping to create a captivating spatial experience, allowing visitors to immerse themselves deeply in Kuniyoshi's world.

With over 50 famous Ukiyo-e pieces showcased, including masterpieces like 'Miyamoto Musashi's Whale Hunt' and 'The Ancient Palace of Soma,' attendees will engage with a rich realm filled with history, creativity, and innovation. This sensory experience enables individuals to appreciate not only the artistry but also the storytelling woven into each piece.

Variety and Inspiration from Kuniyoshi

The exhibition encompasses around 200 works categorized into six genres, showcasing Kuniyoshi's multifaceted talent and his ability to create engaging art that resonates with the everyday lives of people in his time.
