Strengthening Bonds and Supporting Rescue Dogs



Tani Japan, a lifestyle brand based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has partnered with SmileSmile1, the company behind the natural pet oral care gel LuPETto, to host a "Charity Weekend" at their Daikanyama store. This two-day event, taking place on May 23rd and 24th, 2026, aims to deepen the bond between pets and their owners while supporting the adoption of rescue dogs. The event will benefit the non-profit organization Dog Shelter, which is dedicated to finding loving homes for dogs in need.

Event Overview


The Charity Weekend is designed to be an interactive experience for pet owners and dog lovers. The first day will feature workshops led by professional therapists offering dog massage and oral care sessions. The second day will provide a venue for dog adoption, giving people the opportunity to meet rescue dogs looking for forever homes. All participation fees and a portion of product sales during the event will be donated directly to Dog Shelter.

Day 1: Charity Massage & Oral Care Workshop

  • - Sessions: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • - Cost: 5,000 JPY per group (one person and one dog) - All proceeds go to Dog Shelter
  • - Capacity: Limited to 3 groups per session, all breeds and sizes welcome
  • - Workshop Details: The workshop will be led by Francesca Lavallone, a certified canine rehabilitation therapist (CCRVN), focusing on massage techniques that promote blood flow, flexibility, and overall health. Additionally, participants will have the chance to try LuPETto, a natural oral care gel developed by dental expert Dr. Yasuyo Mikami.

Day 2: Rescue Dog Adoption Event


  • - Date: May 24, 2026
  • - Time: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • - Cost: Free (No reservation required)
  • - Event Details: Dogs from Dog Shelter looking for new families will be present, allowing attendees to meet the dogs and find a companion that suits their lifestyle.

Charity Shopping Initiative


During the event, 20% of all sales from Tani and LuPETto products at the Daikanyama store will be donated to Dog Shelter. This provides an easy and enjoyable way for everyone to participate in supporting rescue dogs through their purchases.
