Joe Tunas Strengthens Partner Engineering as New EHS Technical Director

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. has made a significant addition to its team with the hiring of Joe Tunas as the new Technical Director for its Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) division. With a multifaceted background and considerable expertise in environmental health, safety, and wellness, Tunas is well-positioned to tackle the increasingly complex challenges faced by industries today.

In a landscape where comprehensive management of health and safety risks is more crucial than ever, Tunas brings over eight years of specialized experience to the table. His qualifications include being a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP). Throughout his career, he has taken the lead on multimillion-dollar remediation projects while advising clients in diverse sectors such as industrial, construction, and commercial domains.

One of the pivotal projects that Tunas has led includes an ambitious redevelopment effort in New York City, which involved overseeing asbestos surveys and air quality monitoring across a vast 13-building campus. This initiative is set to elevate the educational offerings of a recognized university and is slated to open its doors to students in the fall of 2026.

Brian Nemetz, the National Technical Director of Industrial Hygiene and Health Safety at Partner, remarked on Tunas' outstanding experience and leadership skills. He highlighted that Tunas' extensive network within the tri-state area would be beneficial for clients who are grappling with evolving risk factors.
