LiberNovo Omni Electric Work Chair Sets New Record
In a stunning achievement, the electric work chair
LiberNovo Omni has surpassed
240 million yen in pre-orders on
Makuake, becoming the top-selling chair in the platform's history. Developed by
LiberNovo, a burgeoning ergonomic chair manufacturer based in
Hong Kong, this innovative chair aims to revolutionize the work-from-home experience.
Innovative Solutions for a Common Workplace Struggle
The creator of the
LiberNovo Omni, driven by years of engineering expertise, identified key areas of discomfort commonly faced by workers who spend long hours at a desk. A survey targeting
2,924 participants revealed that discomfort in the
lower back,
neck, and
upper back was prevalent among office workers. Furthermore, when selecting a chair, respondents indicated that the
seat comfort,
lumbar support, and how well the chair fits their body type were critical considerations.
The
LiberNovo Omni addresses these concerns directly, featuring:
- - Backrest that easily adapts to various positions for comfortable support,
- - Seat made with a three-tiered density foam designed to distribute body weight effectively,
- - Two size options catering to a height range of 153 cm to 190 cm and a weight limit of 136 kg.
These attributes make the
LiberNovo Omni a comprehensive solution for anyone grappling with discomfort during prolonged desk work.
Positive Reception and Future Directions
Founder
Alex Yen expressed concerns about entering the competitive Japanese market dominated by well-established brands. He was particularly worried about whether the unique features of the
LiberNovo Omni, such as its
electric drive, and the functionality and design of the backrest would resonate with Japanese consumers. However, the enthusiastic turnout at their experiential exhibitions suggests that the community has embraced the chair, particularly appreciating its
headrest comfort,
automatic adjustment capabilities, and
electric stretching features.
Looking ahead, LiberNovo aims to continue merging
technology with health management, focusing on integrating software and hardware to enhance user experience across various life scenarios.
