Geekplus Launches European Innovation Lab in Düsseldorf to Advance AI Robotics Development

Geekplus Opens European Innovation Lab in Düsseldorf

On September 16, 2026, Geekplus, a global leader in warehouse robotics, officially inaugurated its European Innovation Lab in Düsseldorf, Germany. This new facility marks a significant advancement in the company's commitment to enhancing robotics development across Europe.

The launch event attracted over 150 key industry players, including representatives from GXO, DSV, LPP Logistics, and local officials like Josef Hinkel, Deputy Mayor of Düsseldorf. The presence of such luminaries reflects the lab's role as a testing ground for logistics leaders in the EMEA region, underscoring its motto, "AI in Motion. Rooted in Europe." This highlights the integration of human insight and intention with AI-powered agents and robots.

Josef Hinkel emphasized Düsseldorf's spirit of openness and international collaboration, stating, "We're excited to have Geekplus choose our city for its new innovation lab, contributing to our thriving ecosystem of future technologies."

A Hub for Advanced Robotics and AI Implementation

The Geekplus European Innovation Lab is a pioneering facility, allowing partners and clients to experience and test AI-based robotic systems that are set to revolutionize logistics. With this lab, Geekplus reinforces its commitment to European clients while fostering a broader ecosystem for future logistics innovation.

Designed as a state-of-the-art tech and innovation hub, the lab aims to assist organizations in navigating the technological transition towards agentic capabilities. Demonstrations will showcase how Geekplus's unified embodied AI system, Gravity, can yield tangible improvements in real warehouse operations and future-oriented decision-making.

"The opening of the Geekplus innovation center in Düsseldorf represents a pivotal step toward bringing AI-driven warehouse robotics closer to European clients, shaping the next era of logistics," said Hong Yu, Director EMEA at Geekplus Europe.

A Unique Space for Automation and Collaboration

This location is distinct in Europe, allowing visitors to engage with a diverse range of robotic solutions. This immersive experience enables better comprehension of various systems under varying logistical scenarios. Key demonstrations will include workflows that blend human involvement with automation, such as "Pallet-To-Person", "Tote-To-Person", and "Shelf-To-Person", alongside humanoid solutions and logistics software. Visitors can also explore cutting-edge robotic innovations such as the humanoid robot Gino 1, the RoboShuttle Hyper, and an integrated order prep station equipped with a robotic arm, in addition to the Geekplus Brainsupport system.

The lab is strategically positioned to serve as a testing ground for tomorrow’s innovative solutions. Geekplus envisions it as a space where visitors can witness the convergence of robotic features, methods of interaction with automation, and associated logistics software—all reflective of modern warehouse environments.

To keep the experience dynamic and client-oriented, the center will host monthly tours and dedicated industry days, with expectations to welcome over 1,000 visitors annually. This further establishes the center as a long-term European platform dedicated to training, engagement, and discovery in robotics solutions.

Delivering Tangible Results and Measuring Success

“Our European clients seek clarity, confidence, and measurable results rather than empty promises,” emphasized Rinus Geurts, Western Europe Sales Director at Geekplus. The Geekplus Innovation Lab offers a space where sales and operational teams can comprehensively validate AI-driven robotics and understand how autonomous capabilities translate into real performance within warehouses, facilitating a faster transition from evaluation to full deployment across Western Europe.

Prominent sponsors such as Anera, CMC Packaging Automation, and KEMARO supported this monumental event.
