2025 Controller of the Year Awards Now Open for Applications

The Controllers Council has officially launched its annual Controller of the Year™ Awards program, inviting applications from finance professionals across various sectors. This event, now entering its sixth year, aims to honor the effectiveness, achievements, and impact of Controllers and related titles such as Comptrollers, CFOs, and Vice Presidents of Finance.

Application Process

Registration for the awards is open until December 15, 2025, and participation is free for both Controllers Council members and non-members. Interested candidates can either self-nominate or nominate colleagues through an easy online survey. Applicants must select a category based on the size and type of their organization, including options such as Small, Medium, Enterprise, Startup, Non-Profit, and Government. Furthermore, they will need to provide brief insights regarding their financial performance for 2025, work experiences, volunteer efforts, and educational history.

Selection of Winners

The application submissions will initially undergo an algorithm-based screening process to identify potential finalists within each category. These finalists will then be evaluated by a highly esteemed panel of judges, who will select the Controllers of the Year for each category and ultimately the National Controller of the Year. The winners will be announced on January 15, 2026, and will receive a framed certificate as a mark of achievement. Notably, the National Controller of the Year will also be presented with a gold-plated statuette, manufactured by the same artisans who craft the Oscars.
