Huawei Unveils Interactive AIDC Strategy Shaping Future Industry Innovations

Huawei's Interactive AIDC Strategy: Shaping the Industry's Future

On May 15, 2026, the Global AIDC Industry Summit took place in Dongguan, China, marking a significant milestone for Huawei as it launched its ambitious strategy and products aimed at transforming the AIDC (Artificial Intelligence Data Center) landscape. With the theme "Powering the AI Era," this event brought together nearly 1,000 key leaders, technical experts, and ecosystem partners from various sectors, including energy, intelligent computing, and telecommunications.

During the summit, Huawei's board member and President of Huawei Digital Power, Hou Jinlong, delivered a compelling opening speech highlighting the burgeoning AI industry's demands on energy. He emphasized that the proliferation of large-scale AI models and agents necessitates a robust energy supply, as electricity is fundamental to the sustainable growth of AI technologies. According to Hou, computing and energy must work in concert, fostering an integrated framework that merges new energy systems with AI infrastructure. Reliable electricity supply, particularly from high-power architectures, is crucial for the stable long-term operation of AIDCs.

This push for innovation is accompanied by a growing necessity for ultra-high-density computing solutions that can address these energy demands. Already, liquid cooling systems have emerged as essential components for managing heat in these highly dense environments, ensuring reliability and facilitating the intelligent operation and maintenance throughout the AIDC lifecycle.

Huawei's 4T Integration for AIDC

Huawei Digital Power is committed to a comprehensive integration of bit, watt, heat, and battery technologies, focusing on new energy systems and intelligent distributed computing. The company boasts significant capabilities in renewable energy generation, network formation, high-density computing energy supply, and liquid cooling synergies. In light of the sector's transformative opportunities, Huawei aims to lead innovations in AIDC and establish itself as a trusted long-term strategic partner. Collaboration with global customers and partners remains at the core of its mission to promote high-quality and sustainable growth within the AIDC sector.

Bob He, Vice President of Huawei Digital Power, further elaborated on the urgent need for a network-compatible AIDC strategy amid surging demand for AI tokens. He outlined that the global AI sector is entering a new era, and the emerging challenges require innovative solutions that enhance energy efficiency and reliability while maximizing performance.

Key Innovations: The 3+1 Strategy

To navigate this new landscape, Huawei introduced its interactive grid-compatible AIDC strategy, centering around four innovations:
1. Energy Supply Redefined: A multi-input, multi-output (MIMO) energy supply architecture will be developed that optimally integrates both AC and DC power streams, leveraging existing technologies in power electronics.
2. Advanced Thermal Management: An innovative liquid cooling system powered by AI is set to revolutionize thermal management across the AIDC lifecycle, promoting both efficiency and reliability in heat dissipation.
3. Digital Transformation: By harnessing intelligent technologies, Huawei aims to enhance the entire lifecycle of AIDCs—from design and deployment to operational management and maintenance.
4. Construction Standardization: Implementing prefabrication and modularization within the construction process will streamline operations, ensuring higher quality deliverables while drastically reducing time to market.

In closing his remarks, Bob He posited that the traditional energy efficiency metrics are no longer sufficient in the era of AI-driven data centers. The focus must shift from simple energy efficiency indicators to valuing the overall performance—enter the
