DETOX GALLERY Shines a Refreshing Light on Women Artists at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair 2025

Amid the glamour and elegance of the Hamptons Fine Art Fair 2025, DETOX GALLERY is making waves with a compelling vision. Founded by the talented artist Vickie J. Lin, this nomadic fine art gallery prioritizes inclusivity and representation, particularly for women artists. From July 10 to 13, the gallery will take center stage at Booth 118, showcasing the diverse work of five talented female artists.

A New Wave of Artistry

DETOX GALLERY was founded in 2023 with the intention of providing a platform for historically marginalized voices in the fine art world. What differentiates this gallery is not just its selection of artworks, but the profound grassroots ethos behind its creation. With no institutional backing, Lin has orchestrated nine significant exhibitions across New York and Dallas in just two years, attracting over 2,000 visitors and featuring the artworks of more than 200 artists.

Meet the Artists

1. Vickie J. Lin - The founder and a prominent abstract expressionist. She will present her latest ocean-inspired piece, Heartbreak, alongside new works from her Transformation series.
2. Lili Rochelle - A Brooklyn-based painter who explores divine femininity through her ethereal and cosmic imagery. Her art reflects a deep reverence for nature, often crafted on reclaimed materials.
3. Maria Sardi - This Venezuelan-American collage artist melds personal memories with pop culture in a vibrant mixed-media piece titled Florida, set to dazzle fair attendees.
4. Shivya Ahuja - A fusion furniture designer who uniquely combines her Himalayan heritage with contemporary style, presenting her sculptural Zen Table and Martini Tables.
5. Yianna Foufas - A painter and wrestler; her artwork Synaptic Embrace captures the essence of kinetic resilience, revealing her passion through intricate oil painting.

A Mission to Transform

Vickie J. Lin's vision for DETOX GALLERY is clear: to 'detoxify' the art world. As a self-taught curator who faced housing instability, Vickie is determined to disrupt traditional norms that have for too long sidelined underrepresented artists. Her unwavering resistance to institutional norms and reliance on grassroots activism enables her to cultivate spaces where diverse artistic voices thrive.

“I founded DETOX to create what I needed but could not find—a safe haven for artists who have historically been overlooked. Securing a spot at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair without relying on external funding is truly a dream realized for me,” expresses Lin, whose journey represents resilience and innovation.

The Essence of DETOX GALLERY

With a commitment to accessibility, DETOX GALLERY seeks to bridge the gap between emerging artists and elite gallery spaces. By promoting contemporary art from lesser-known creators, it is reshaping the landscape of the art world, one exhibit at a time. Vickie’s dream of an inclusive art ecosystem is not just making waves; it’s creating a tsunami of change.

The gallery’s 'floating' model of operation allows for dynamic exhibitions in accessible venues, challenging the misconception that only well-funded galleries can present high-quality art. By embracing a community-driven approach, DETOX has bolstered its following through engaging art events and wellness-focused meetups.
