IGSA Launches 'Hanashiten' Brain Health App for Ages 50 to 70

IGSA Launches Official Version of 'Hanashiten'

On September 3, 2025, IGSA, a Tokyo-based startup, officially released its brain health management app, 'Hanashiten', specifically aimed at individuals aged 50 to 70. This innovative app is designed to facilitate easy monitoring and management of cognitive health through voice interaction.

Quick and Easy Assessment of Brain Health

With 'Hanashiten', users can easily assess their brain health from the comfort of their homes. By simply speaking into their smartphone for just two minutes, users can visualize their cognitive health status. The results are categorized into four levels: A, B, C, and D. Depending on the score, users can choose to proceed to detailed assessments to better understand which cognitive areas need attention.

The app's AI is trained on over 60,000 hours of voice data, analyzing how speech patterns change as cognitive functions decline. There are six cognitive domains involved, and the app is designed to guide users in using their natural speech functions through carefully structured questions. The clinical data that form the basis for these measurements were gathered in collaboration with the Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology.

Long-term Cognitive Health Management

Cognitive health can accumulate damage over 10 to 20 years. 'Hanashiten' not only captures minor changes in a healthy state but also minimizes learning effects to ensure accurate measurements, allowing users to notice subtle shifts in their brain health, thus preventing serious health issues from developing later. Users can manage their brain health regularly through the app over a period of one year, ten years, or even twenty years.

Discover Lifestyle Improvements for Brain Health

After completing an assessment, users are provided with recommendations for actions that can improve their brain health. The app incentivizes long-term lifestyle changes by presenting health goals in a points system, clearly defining the steps users should take next. This engaging approach helps individuals understand the best ways to enhance their lifestyle and proactively prevent potential cognitive issues.

How to Use 'Hanashiten'

Interested users can register through LINE via the official website Hanashiten. Detailed usage instructions and an overview of the app can be found in the following videos:

Feedback and Improvements

Since August 2, 2025, the beta version of 'Hanashiten' was offered free of charge, gathering valuable feedback from users, particularly those in their 50s, who made up 51% of the responses. The insights gained led to enhancements that shaped the official launch of the app. The team expresses sincere gratitude to all participants for their contributions.
