Envision Energy, a global frontrunner in environmental technologies, has ventured into a transformative agreement with ACWA Power, a Saudi developer renowned for its leadership in the energy transition and green hydrogen initiatives. This landmark partnership is aimed at developing a massive 1.1 GW onshore wind farm in Egypt's Suez Gulf region, which is set to become one of the largest projects in the MENA area.
This collaboration represents a significant leap forward for Egypt's renewable energy capacities, positioning the country as a vital player in the energy transition and sustainable development within the region. The project, spearheaded by Suez Wind Energy—a joint venture between ACWA Power and HAU Energy—will receive funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). 138 state-of-the-art 8-MW wind turbines from Envision Energy will be deployed to withstand high wind speeds and arid conditions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for a projected lifespan of 25 years.

The 8-MW platform turbines from Envision can be optimized with various blade configurations and hub heights, enhancing energy capture under different scenarios. Thanks to Envision's industry-leading vertical supply chain integration and internal development capabilities for key components, these turbines promise unparalleled quality and reliability. Additionally, Envision's Galileo system will pilot real-time analysis of wind data to provide accurate load conditions for component and system-level testing, ensuring optimal operational standards.
