Resilience Appoints Chris Pitcher as Head of North American Underwriting Strategy, Named Alex Carleton as US Distribution Leader

Resilience Strengthens Leadership Team in North America

In a strategic move to solidify its operations in North America, Resilience, a pioneer in cyber risk solutions, announced the promotion of Chris Pitcher to Head of North America Underwriting Strategy and Operations, along with the appointment of Alex Carleton as US Distribution Leader. This restructuring aims to enhance connectivity between underwriting strategies and broker distribution within the United States and Canada.

Chris Pitcher, who joined Resilience in 2025, takes on the challenge of aligning distribution and underwriting operations under his leadership. With a robust background in both underwriting and broker partnerships, he is expected to provide brokers with clearer insights into the company's appetite for risk and accelerate their access to tailored coverage. Before his promotion, Pitcher excelled as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Underwriting Performance, spearheading various initiatives related to underwriting playbooks and workflow automation. His previous tenure at Arch Insurance also equipped him with extensive experience in professional liability and cyber insurance, making him a formidable asset to Resilience.

George Kotsiopoulos, President of Insurance at Resilience, expressed confidence in Pitcher’s capabilities, stating, "By aligning North American distribution, underwriting strategy, and operations under Chris' leadership, we are giving brokers a clearer view of our appetite and a quicker path to coverage that fits their clients' risk."

In his new role, Pitcher will not only shape Resilience's underwriting strategy but also oversee distribution and operations, focusing on building relationships with brokers across North America. He will work in tandem with product, operations, and underwriting teams, reporting directly to Kotsiopoulos.

Meanwhile, Alex Carleton, who joined Resilience as Western Regional Manager in 2022, has been entrusted with leading relationships with retail and wholesale broker partners in the U.S. Carleton’s decade-long experience in commercial insurance, which spans underwriting and brokerage roles, will be instrumental as he works to strengthen existing partnerships and broaden Resilience's broker relationships. Previously, he made significant contributions as an underwriting consultant at CNA and as a master underwriter at Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions. He began his career at Costello & Sons Insurance Brokers, escalating through the ranks with impressive success.

As the US Distribution Leader, Carleton’s key focus will involve deepening broker partnerships, ensuring Resilience maintains a prominent market presence, and conveying broker feedback on market conditions and client expectations to the underwriting and product teams. Through these roles, both Pitcher and Carleton will collectively enhance Resilience’s operational synergy, ultimately benefiting brokers and the clients they serve.
