WOODY HOUSE to Open Store in Tachikawa
In a thrilling development for shoppers in the Kanto region,
WOODY HOUSE is set to open its inaugural location at GREEN SPRINGS in Tachikawa in the spring of 2026. The company, based in Tachikawa, Tokyo, and led by President Masamichi Murayama, has long been committed to creating a store environment that resonates with the local community, nurturing a connection that goes beyond mere retail.
With an emphasis on integrating with the local atmosphere while offering unique selections, WOODY HOUSE aims to foster a ‘place’ rather than just a shop. It is a curated space where urban and rural life, as well as online and offline interactions, can blend seamlessly. This philosophy is especially relevant in today’s rapidly changing retail landscape, where consumers are seeking more personalized and interactive experiences.
By emphasizing dialogue between staff and customers, as well as community building, WOODY HOUSE will roll out its unique business model in the ‘well-being town’ of GREEN SPRINGS. This complex not only incorporates the best in urban living but also promotes local revitalization initiatives, setting the stage for a store that thrives on meaningful connections.
In anticipation of the grand opening, a pop-up shop will be held for two days on November 1st-2nd, 2025. This event aims to give customers in the Kanto area—many of whom have requested the opportunity to physically engage with products and staff—the chance to experience the WOODY HOUSE brand firsthand. It’s a platform for the brand to showcase its offerings and ethos through an engaging experience, allowing customers to understand the essence and aesthetics of WOODY HOUSE.
The pop-up shop will take place at the Atrium on the second floor of GREEN SPRINGS, running from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, November 1, and from 10 AM to 2 PM on Sunday, November 2. Entry to the event is free, marking an inclusive invitation to all who wish to explore the WOODY HOUSE offerings.
About WOODY HOUSE
Founded in the small select shop in Maizuru City, Kyoto, WOODY HOUSE has expanded its reach while maintaining a firm commitment to authenticity and community connection. With 13 shops already established in the Keihanshin and Tokai regions, the brand embodies the philosophy of delivering genuine products from rural areas to urban consumers.
Each WOODY HOUSE location is crafted with individual stories and distinctive atmospheres that harmonize with the local environment. The company believes in creating spaces that deeply root themselves in the lives of their customers, extending beyond apparel to embody a complete lifestyle experience. This includes leveraging their branding, planning, and communication skills honed through retail and e-commerce to engage in local revitalization initiatives.
The opening of the Tachikawa store represents not just an expansion, but an evolution of the WOODY HOUSE concept into a more extensive community-centric model, where the focus remains on cultivating relationships between clothing, people, and the streets they inhabit.
