The autonomous taxis used in this project are Hyundai IONIQ 5 vehicles equipped with cutting-edge technology developed by Autonomous A2Z Co., Ltd., a startup founded by engineers from Hyundai's research division. A2Z aims to establish a global deployment of autonomous vehicle platforms, having achieved significant milestones in South Korea, Singapore, and the UAE.

In fact, A2Z has been recognized internationally for its advancements in autonomous driving technology, ranking seventh worldwide in a recent consulting group evaluation by Guidehouse. This marks the first trial of their technology in the Japanese market, with further support from Kanematsu Corporation.

Dispatch Operations and Monitoring System


In terms of dispatch operations, the integration with Denno Kotsu's system allows for user-friendly taxi booking. Call center staff dedicated to taxi services will be responsible for receiving ride requests, ensuring that the information is conveyed efficiently to the autonomous vehicles.
