Discovering China's Rich Heritage: The 3rd Heritage Seminar by Aeon

The Aeon Corporation, known for its commitment to quality education, is excited to announce the 3rd World Heritage Exploration Seminar to be held on April 26, 2025. This engaging online event, organized at the Hao Chinese Academy, invites participants to delve into the profound cultural and historical facets of China through its remarkable world heritage sites.

The seminar is aptly themed "Learning about Chinese Culture and History - Deepening our Understanding of China’s History to Enhance Chinese Language Learning." Participants will benefit from insights provided by an esteemed lecturer, an expert who has visited over 500 world heritage sites across 80 countries, including more than 20 sites in China. With this wealth of experience, the lecturer will present information in an accessible manner, catering to beginners and enthusiasts alike.

Understanding language transcends mere vocabulary; it encompasses the culture that shapes it. This seminar aims to enrich participants' command of Chinese not just as a language, but as an expression of China's historical values and local experiences. For instance, nuances in greetings, well-wishes, and honorifics make more sense when participants grasp the underlying traditions and philosophy.

By examining iconic world heritage sites such as Yungang Grottoes, Summer Palace, Forbidden City, and others, attendees will explore the deep-rooted history and cultural narratives intertwined with these locations. This experience aims to help learners comprehend the broader context that enriches their language acquisition journey.
