Innovative Fusion of Digital and Real Worlds in Kobe
The MIGALOG Group, known for its pioneering approach to merging the digital and real worlds, has made a significant leap forward by introducing its facial recognition ID platform,
FreeiD, into the new residential development
Wakole Sumiyoshi Honcho by Wada Kousan. This landmark project in Kobe is set to become Japan's first residential building to feature an all-facial-recognition access system, dubbed the "全住戸オール顔認証マンション®".
A New Era in Urban Living
Wakole is a brand that represents Wada Kousan's commitment to adapting to urban lifestyles, with a focus on sophisticated design and comfort. Located in a serene neighborhood, Wakole Sumiyoshi Honcho combines the advantages of city living with peaceful surroundings, making it a prime location for residents of all ages. The six-story building includes 29 units designed to meet modern living standards.
The integration of FreeiD is present in various project areas such as the entrance, delivery box, garbage disposal area, common corridor, bicycle parking, motorcycle parking, and individual units, allowing residents to enjoy innovative and seamless living experiences.
Features of FreeiD
One of the most groundbreaking aspects of this integration is the ability for residents to manage their facial recognition settings without needing to go through property management, bringing enhanced convenience and security. This feature, termed
FreeiD Mansion Plus, allows residents to easily register and switch their facial recognition profiles, essentially eliminating the need for physical keys and enhancing security. Moreover, with a single registration, residents can access shared spaces, confirming their identity, and can even grant temporary access to friends or family using the app.
No longer will residents need to worry about losing their keys. Instead, they can access their homes and communal areas using facial recognition technology, even with their hands full. This capability represents a significant technological advancement in residential security systems.
The Path Ahead
The partnership between Wada Kousan and DXYZ reflects a growing trend towards smart city solutions that blend digital innovations with everyday life. As we advance, both companies remain committed to enhancing resident comfort and property value while creating new attractions through technology.
FreeiD Overview
Developed by DXYZ, FreeiD is a comprehensive facial recognition ID platform designed to connect everyday activities—living, working, and leisure—via facial recognition. By integrating various forms of identification, users can access spaces, make payments, and confirm their identity using only their face.
This technology not only applies to residential complexes, but it’s expanding into environments such as offices, childcare facilities, golf courses, and theme parks as well. Future projects include facial recognition payment systems as well as integrations with national ID services, marking a substantial leap towards a more connected existence.
