BBM Launches New Google TV Stick and Expands FAST ch Channel Offerings

BBM Unveils an Innovative Google TV Stick and Expands Its Streaming Services

BBM Corporation, headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, has recently announced the launch of its new Google TV stick, the "TS-405G," equipped with the innovative "Google TV for Operators" platform. This exciting reveal was made on April 27, 2026, and also included the introduction of five additional channels for their free internet streaming service, FAST ch.

Google TV for Operators: A Game-Changer for Providers

"Google TV for Operators" is a program designed by Google, providing telecommunications companies, cable TV operators, IPTV providers, and OTT service providers with a comprehensive solution built on the Google TV platform. This program allows operators to integrate the user experience of Google TV with their own content offerings, both live TV and on-demand, to deliver customized TV sticks and set-top boxes to customers quickly and effectively.

The rise of FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) services has caught the attention of viewers worldwide, making it a crucial offering for both users and content holders. The growth of video streaming services has underscored the importance of providing seamless, user-friendly viewing experiences that allow access to diverse content easily. With this backdrop, BBM has developed the TS-405G to meet the increasing demands of users seeking enjoyable and straightforward viewing experiences on large screens at home.

Expanding Content with New Channels

In conjunction with the hardware launch, BBM also announced the addition of five new channels to its FAST ch service, aimed at diversifying the content lineup. This expansion is a commitment to providing users with a broader range of programming options, making it even more enjoyable to find something to watch for everyone. The new channels include:

  • - Free TV NEWS Powered by 17LIVE: A collaborative news program focusing on critical daily news, airing live on weekdays.
  • - Go/ Shogi Light: Presenting some of the best Go and Shogi matches, along with educational programs.
  • - All Hokkaido Channel: A continuous stream showcasing local programming from Hokkaido.
  • - Animax FREE: A selection of popular anime available 24/7.
  • - Tokai Rokipo Channel: Featuring diverse content from the Tokai Region of Japan, including food, variety, and travel information.

Future Plans and Service Improvements

Looking ahead, BBM plans to enhance viewer experiences and deepen service value. One of the changes coming in the summer is the rebranding of FAST ch to "Free TV," aiming to create a more intuitive and accessible brand for free broadcasting services that anyone can enjoy.

Additionally, BBM intends to introduce FAST ch to both the newly launched Google TV platform in Japan and existing Android TV platforms, enabling viewers to access a wide range of Japanese content effortlessly through their home television without additional setup.

In terms of hardware, full-scale shipments of the TS-405G are set to begin this fall. BBM seeks to elevate the accessibility of its services through software and hardware enhancements, establishing "Free TV" as the standard for next-generation viewing styles.

What is FAST ch?

FAST ch is a free streaming TV service launched by BBM's subsidiary, FAST Corporation, in August 2024. It allows unlimited access to specialized programming, ranging from camping shows to historical dramas, all free of charge, supported by advertising revenue. Unlike traditional TV broadcasts, which require users to sift through a vast amount of content, FAST ch delivers continuous programming within chosen genres, making it easier for viewers to find their desired shows.

As BBM continues to innovate and expand, it welcomes new partnerships to enhance channel offerings and enrich viewer experiences, ensuring the future of audience engagement within the evolving streaming landscape.
