Daqo Unveils SF6-Free Solutions at The smarter E Europe 2026 Show

Daqo Showcases Innovative Solutions at The smarter E Europe 2026

In a move that highlights the increasing urgency for renewable energy solutions in Europe, Daqo unveiled its cutting-edge distribution technologies at The smarter E Europe 2026 trade show in Munich. As the continent accelerates its integration of renewable energy sources, energy storage, and ongoing electrification efforts, project owners face mounting pressure to expedite the connection of new production sources and high-energy-consuming loads to the grid, all while adhering to stricter environmental performance and reliability standards.

Daqo's standout offering, the DQS Air, is a vacuum-insulated SF6-free Medium Voltage Ring Main Unit (RMU). This solution combines dry air insulation with vacuum interruption technology, presenting a viable alternative to conventional SF6 equipment. Its compact and weatherproof design minimizes maintenance needs while ensuring dependable operation in urban distribution networks, renewable energy project connections, industrial installations, and grid modernization initiatives.

In addition, the company introduced a newly developed air-insulated RMU targeted at secondary distribution networks. This model is designed for flexibility, featuring intelligent monitoring systems and remote management capabilities, making it an attractive option for clients pursuing environmentally friendly and easy-to-manage electrical distribution infrastructure.

Daqo also showcased its solutions for renewable energy projects, including containerized photovoltaic substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). By integrating step-up transformers, medium and low voltage gear, monitoring systems, and auxiliary systems into a pre-fabricated unit, this solution significantly reduces on-site interfaces, simplifies coordination, and accelerates the timeline for delivery to grid connection.

For high-energy-consuming sectors like data centers, the DQMpower 2.0 was presented—a modular power solution that incorporates low-voltage distribution, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) functionalities, power quality management, and monitoring capabilities. This offering enhances deployment efficiency, optimizes technical room space, and improves operational visibility. Notably, Daqo’s semiconductor transformer technology garnered significant attention as a future-proof platform allowing flexible interaction between grids, loads, storage systems, and DC power supply.

Kevin Lin, Daqo's General Manager for Europe, emphasized the market's clear priority during discussions at the expo: energy infrastructure projects necessitate greener equipment, quicker grid connections, and enhanced supply reliability. To support this, Daqo is amplifying its local coordination and partner network in Europe, enabling clients to benefit from integrated technical solutions with clearer interfaces and robust delivery support.

Daqo's European strategy revolves around combining large-scale production with local coordination and partner assistance. The industrial hub consists of 32 manufacturing enterprises, with expertise spanning medium and low-voltage equipment, transformers, automation, and system integration. For European clients, this translates into coordinated technical offerings, fewer interfaces with suppliers, and improved delivery control.

Looking ahead, Daqo intends to collaborate with utilities, developers, engineering procurement and construction companies, and industrial customers to foster the establishment of cleaner, more reliable, and faster-deploying energy infrastructure across Europe. As the demand for sustainable energy solutions continues to rise, Daqo remains at the forefront of innovation in the energy sector, committed to driving the transition towards a more sustainable future.
