Matsui no Canele: A New Pop-Up in Musashikosugi Station with Limited-Edition Matcha Canele

Matsui no Canele Invades Musashikosugi Station

Matsui no Canele, a popular specialty shop from Hachioji, is set to make its mark at Musashikosugi Station with an exciting pop-up event. Having sold over 100,000 caneles, the brand has earned a loyal following that can now easily access its treats in this bustling area.

Details of the Pop-Up Event

From May 8 to May 14, 2026, Matsui no Canele will take over the space at Canvas βase, located conveniently next to the ticket gate at Musashikosugi Station. With approximately 180,000 daily commuters frequenting this station, the pop-up is perfectly positioned to introduce freshly baked caneles to a broader audience.

The offering will include four types of caneles, priced from 330 yen up to 380 yen for the special limited edition, which features a delightful flavor of Uji matcha.

Freshly Baked Caneles Delivered Daily

At Matsui no Canele, the philosophy is simple: the best taste comes from caneles that are freshly baked. Throughout the duration of the pop-up, all caneles will be baked in the Hachioji headquarters and brought directly to Musashikosugi every morning. Expect the perfect combination of a crunchy exterior with a moist inside infused with rum and vanilla.

A total of 640 caneles will be available each day, and once they sell out, that’s it!

Special Edition: Uji Matcha Canele

Among the diverse offerings, the spotlight will be on the limited-time Uji Matcha Canele. This delectable treat incorporates high-quality matcha sourced directly from Uji in Kyoto, which adds depth and a pleasant bitterness to the canele dough.

Perfect Treats for Musashikosugi Residents

Founded in June 2025, Matsui no Canele has quickly garnered popularity, making its way to prestigious locations, including 1 Hotel Tokyo, and partnering with over 20 shops nationwide. Now located in a back alley of Hachioji, the store has become synonymous with luxury and quality desserts.

Musashikosugi is known for its thriving community of dual-income families and high-rise apartment dwellers, which has created a substantial demand for high-quality treats suitable for home snacking and as thoughtful gifts. With individual caneles available for purchase, customers can easily grab a few as a casual gift or personal treat after work.
