Lagunitas' Unique Invitation
In a bold move combining music and craft beer, Lagunitas Brewing Company has announced an exciting opportunity for both craft beer aficionados and music lovers. This June, they're inviting applicants for their first-ever
Beer Roadie position, coinciding with the launch of their latest collaboration:
Trooper West Coast IPA, brewed in partnership with the legendary heavy metal band, Iron Maiden. This immersive experience not only celebrates beer culture but also promises a perfect blend of passion and creativity.
An Unforgettable Role
Set to coincide with Iron Maiden's
Run For Your Lives tour kicking off on September 5 in New Jersey, the
Beer Roadie role is anything but your standard job. As Hannah Dray, Lagunitas' Chief Marketing Officer, puts it, "Beer Roadie isn't about climbing a ladder; it's about stepping out of the grind and into something real." This position aims to give one lucky winner the chance to learn firsthand about the brewing process while connecting with the vibrant community of fans.
The selected applicant will work closely with Lagunitas’ brewers and beer educators, gaining insights into crafting the
Trooper West Coast IPA. Not just a drinker, this role will emphasize appreciation and education as the
Beer Roadie travels to various pop-up events known as Eddie's Dive Bar, held before Iron Maiden's concerts. It's a unique opportunity for someone to step into a hands-on position that celebrates both the art of brewing and the excitement of live music.
Qualifications for Aspiring Beer Roadies
To throw your name in the ring, aspiring
Beer Roadies must submit a 30-second video on
BeerRoadie.com, answering the question:
“What makes you the ideal candidate for the Trooper Beer Roadie position?” The selection process will involve narrowing down submissions to three finalists, who will then be interviewed by a panel from Lagunitas. The winner will receive training at Lagunitas' headquarters, preparing them for a summer filled with great beer and music.
A Brew to Remember
The
Trooper West Coast IPA is poised to be a standout in the beer market. With a satisfying ABV of 6.6%, it features Krush hops and offers a vibrant flavor profile that appeals to both seasoned hop enthusiasts and newcomers alike. This collaborative brew builds on Iron Maiden's established Trooper Beer range, which boasts an impressive 50 million pints sold globally since its inception. This positioning underlines Lagunitas' commitment to brewing innovative, high-quality craft beer that resonates with its loyal customers.
Embracing Passion in the Workplace
The initiative comes as a breath of fresh air, particularly in a world where many people feel they must hide their true selves at work. According to a Forbes report, 62% of employees globally express that they feel the need to restrain their passions. The
Beer Roadie role is designed to change that narrative, empowering fans to embrace their love for music and beer without reservation. Highlighting the importance of connection and community, Lagunitas is creating a space where authenticity can flourish.
