Yoko Yamaguchi of Nanoegg Receives Prestigious Awards
Yoko Yamaguchi, the CEO of Nanoegg, has recently been awarded both the Forbes JAPAN WOMEN AWARD 2025 and the EY Winning Women 2025. This recognition marks a significant achievement in her remarkable journey from a physicist to a pharmaceutical researcher and eventually a venture entrepreneur.
Initially, Yamaguchi dedicated herself to the field of physics, conducting extensive research. However, her career path took a transformative turn when her daughter suffered from atopic dermatitis, which motivated her to shift her focus to the medical sector. After joining St. Marianna University of Medicine as an assistant researcher, her dedication and expertise led to her promotion to associate professor, where she specialized in dermatology and drug delivery systems (DDS).
In 2006, driven by her desire to contribute to society through scientific advancements, Yamaguchi founded Nanoegg, a venture based on the university’s research. Her mission centers around the integration of scientific accuracy with human aspirations, continuously pushing the boundaries of innovation in healthcare.
