Aviation Capital Group Expands Partnership with Wizz Air through New Aircraft Deliveries

Aviation Capital Group Delivers Airbus A321neo to Wizz Air

Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG), a leading global aircraft asset manager, recently announced an exciting milestone in its alliance with Wizz Air. On August 18, 2026, ACG delivered the first of four state-of-the-art Airbus A321neo aircraft to Wizz Air as part of a new Sale-and-Leaseback (SLB) agreement. This strategic move not only showcases ACG's commitment to supporting aviation growth but also solidifies its long-lasting partnership with one of Europe’s most innovative airlines.

Details of the Delivery

The Airbus A321neo, equipped with ultra-efficient Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, was unveiled during a ceremony at the Airbus Delivery Centre located in Toulouse, France. This aircraft represents the first step in enhancing Wizz Air’s already expanding fleet. Upon the completion of the SLB mandate, ACG will have a total of 16 A321neo aircraft in lease to Wizz Air.

Carter A. White, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at ACG, expressed enthusiasm about the delivery. He remarked, "ACG is delighted to expand our partnership with Wizz Air through this latest transaction. Providing fleet financing at scale is central to how we support our airline customers, and we are pleased to help drive Wizz's continued growth."

The timing of this delivery aligns perfectly with Wizz Air's ongoing strategy to expand its operations throughout Europe, providing travelers with increased connectivity and options. Wizz Air is known for its commitment to low-cost travel, and these new aircraft will further enhance its ability to offer performant services while maintaining operational efficiency.

Industry Impact

The introduction of the A321neo aircraft is significant, not only for Wizz Air but for the aviation industry as a whole. The Airbus A321neo is renowned for its fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions compared to older aircraft models, making it a favorable option in today’s environmentally conscious market. By adding these aircraft to their fleet, Wizz Air demonstrates its commitment to sustainability while also enhancing its efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

As part of the coming transaction, ACG expects to deliver the remaining three aircraft in quick succession, fulfilling Wizz Air's expansion needs rapidly. This proactive approach reiterates ACG's role as a pivotal player in the aircraft leasing market, managing approximately 500 aircraft globally, leased to around 85 airlines across about 50 countries as of mid-2026.
