SINEXCEL Launches New Energy Storage Project in Romania for Enhanced Trading Flexibility

SINEXCEL's Latest Initiative in Romania

SINEXCEL, a global leader in energy storage solutions, is taking significant steps in the European energy market with a new 7.5MW/15.04MWh battery storage project located in Romania. This initiative marks an important milestone in enhancing energy trading and flexibility across the region, leveraging advanced power conversion technology.

The strategic deployment of this facility is aimed primarily at price arbitrage, which allows energy traders to optimize their trading strategies effectively. By enabling more responsiveness and operational efficiency within the grid, this project represents a shift towards a more market-oriented approach in energy management.

Cutting-Edge Technology and Scalability

Central to the project's design are SINEXCEL's state-of-the-art 1250kW Power Conversion Systems (PCS). These systems are engineered for omni-adaptability, maximizing energy value while ensuring high efficiency and flexible integration capabilities. This technology allows not only for optimized system performance but also contributes to a robust economic outlook for long-term projects.

The PCS can accommodate various medium-voltage configurations suited to a range of project requirements. These include:
  • - 20ft MV station: 2.5MW/3.15MW
  • - 40ft MV station: 5MW/6.25MW
  • - 40ft MV station: up to 9.45MW/10MW

This flexibility enables developers to efficiently scale the capacity of the project according to demand while minimizing installation complexities and lifecycle costs.

Backing from Industry Leaders

Developed in collaboration with Energy Solar NRG SRL, this project has successfully secured non-recourse financing through DHB Bank, setting the stage for full commissioning anticipated by September 30, 2026. This financing not only underscores the viability of the project but also reaffirms the reliability of SINEXCEL's PCS technology in utility-scale applications.

With a proven track record of more than 5,000 deployments globally, SINEXCEL boasts over 15GW/40GWh of installed capacity. As developers continuously seek dependable and efficient energy storage solutions, SINEXCEL stands out as a trusted partner for delivering revolutionary hardware solutions that align with sustainability goals.

Commitment to Sustainable Energy Futures

SINEXCEL has been at the forefront of pioneering energy storage solutions since its inception in 2007. With installations spanning 15GW of storage capacity, 140,000 EV chargers, and nearly 20 million amperes of Active Harmonic Filters (AHF), the company collaborates with industry leaders, including EVE Energy and Schneider Electric, to champion the vision of energy independence.

This Romanian project symbolizes SINEXCEL's ongoing commitment not just to advancing energy storage technologies, but also to fostering a sustainable, resilient energy future for Europe and beyond. As the energy landscape shifts, such initiatives are essential in building a more dynamic and economically viable energy market.
