On June 28, 2025, a unique opportunity awaits at Moritown Shopping Center in Akishima, Tokyo, as Vixen, an esteemed optical equipment manufacturer, partners with the local venue to host the much-anticipated Moritown Insect Observation Event. This event promises to be an exciting and educational experience for children and families alike, focusing on the fascinating world of insects.

The event will feature two main components: the Insect Observation Session and the Insect Collecting & Observation Session. Both of these activities are designed to engage participants with the natural environment while fostering a love for science and nature.

Insect Observation Session

The Insect Observation Session will take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Hikari no Hiroba (Light Square) within Moritown. Here, attendees can view various insect specimens displayed, using Vixen's high-quality loupes for detailed examination. Participants will have the chance to identify different species with guided assistance, making this not only an entertaining experience but also an educational one.

Insect Collecting & Observation Session

For a more hands-on experience, the Insect Collecting & Observation Session invites families to venture outdoors and engage in real-life insect collecting. This part of the event is set for three dedicated time slots:
1. 10:45 AM
2. 1:00 PM
3. 3:00 PM.

Each session will accommodate up to 25 participants, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to engage and learn. Each collecting session will include activities aimed at identifying the captured insects using Vixen’s equipment and field guides.
