30th Anniversary Festival at Asumi Mirai-fu Minami Oosawa
From June 21 to June 27, 2023, JKK Tokyo, the Tokyo Housing Supply Corporation, held a
30th Anniversary Festival at its care-supported senior housing facility, Asumi Mirai-fu Minami Oosawa. This celebration was dedicated to thanking the residents and their families, as well as the community, for their continued support over three decades.
During this seven-day event, a plethora of activities brought together participants, from residents and their families to community members and local businesses, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere. The
Asumi Market featured fresh vegetables and fruits from local producers, captivating many attendees while street performers added a touch of excitement with their engaging acts. One of the highlights was a walking event hosted by the well-known performer
Duke Saruhana, engaging participants with humorous anecdotes and practical walking techniques that promoted healthy living.
Several workshops catered to a spectrum of attendees, from children to adults, where they had the opportunity to create original pottery. This hands-on activity marked a joyful highlight of the festival, filling the venue with laughter and creativity. The event culminated in a special
Premium Concert by the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, known as the
June Concert, which has been an annual tradition since the facility's inception. The venue was packed as attendees enjoyed a mesmerizing performance of classical music, resulting in a standing ovation and an encore that perfectly matched the celebratory spirit of the 30th anniversary.
Throughout the festival, the residents, their families, local community members, and various businesses united to express gratitude while showcasing the facility's charm and fostering connections within the community. This event not only marked a significant milestone but reinforced the deep ties that have developed over the years.
