MCR Oil Tools Achieves Groundbreaking PHMSA Approval



MCR Oil Tools, based in Arlington, Texas, announced an important regulatory milestone on June 12, 2025. The company received confirmation from PHMSA (Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration), a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, affirming that their innovative thermite-based Radial Cutting Torches (RCT) can be transported as non-hazardous materials. This significant shift means that MCR's RCTs, commonly utilized for cutting oil well pipes during retrieval operations, can now be shipped without the extensive regulatory burden previously associated with explosives.
