Endo Tools Therapeutics Welcomes Devon Bream as New CEO

Endo Tools Therapeutics (ETT), a pioneer in the development of advanced endoscopic medical devices, has appointed Devon Bream, MPH, FACHE, as its new Chief Executive Officer. This strategic move is aimed at navigating the company towards a new era of commercial expansion and enhanced physician engagement. Bream’s extensive executive experience, spanning over 25 years in the medical technology sector, positions him ideally to lead ETT into its next phase of growth.

Bream’s journey in the medical industry is decorated with significant leadership roles at notable companies such as Karl Storz Endoscopy, STERIS Corporation, Olympus Corporation, and GE Healthcare. His expertise encompasses global commercial leadership, strategic growth initiatives, and successful mergers and acquisitions. With multiple patents to his name in medical imaging and workflow technologies, Bream's contributions to healthcare innovation are widely recognized.

In addition to his achievements, Bream holds a Master of Public Health Management from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is a proud Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). His commitment to mentorship for emerging healthcare professionals and fostering collaboration within surgical and imaging specialties further underscores his leadership qualities.

As Bream steps into his new role, Alexandre Chau will transition to Chief Operating Officer (COO), ensuring continuity in leadership and operational strategies. Denis Gestin, chairman of the board of ETT, commended Chau for his instrumental role in guiding the company to this milestone, emphasizing the strong foundation built for future growth.

One significant achievement under the company's belt is the recent FDA 510(k) clearance for the endomina EZFuse system. This advancement has opened doors for ETT to expand its reach within the U.S., with plans to enhance physician adoption and clinical experience. The feedback from physicians showcases the efficiency and simplicity offered by the EZFuse system, making it a valuable addition to procedural workflows in the medical field.

Bream expressed excitement about engaging with gastroenterologists, surgeons, and surgery centers across the United States in the upcoming weeks. He highlighted the importance of evaluating the new EZFuse firsthand, as it represents an innovative platform designed to meet significant unmet needs in endoscopic procedures. “ETT is on a mission to enhance access to minimally invasive solutions for patients worldwide,” he noted, showcasing his dedication to improving patient outcomes.

Headquartered in Gosselies, Belgium, Endo Tools Therapeutics specializes in advanced, incisionless, and minimally invasive endoscopic medical devices. The company aims to expand the range of gastrointestinal procedures that can be performed using standard gastroscopes, thus enhancing patient care while reducing the burden of procedural complexity. In Europe and select Middle Eastern markets, the platform is currently employed for endoscopic gastroplasty procedures aimed at treating obesity, while in the U.S., it has been cleared for use in suturing and approximating soft tissue within the gastrointestinal tract.

As ETT embarks on this new chapter under Bream’s leadership, the industry watches closely. His proven track record and vision may well usher in a new era of growth and innovation for this forward-thinking company in the rapidly evolving medical technology landscape.
