The prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, known for its remarkable gatherings of automotive excellence, is thrilled to announce new additions to its Advisory Board. Todd Blue and Tom Peck, both distinguished in their respective fields and passionate about automobiles, are set to contribute to the Concours' future direction, emphasizing an enduring commitment to charity and quality.
Concours Chairman Sandra Button expressed her enthusiasm, noting, "Todd and Tom are not only devoted participants at this event, they are true partners." Their involvement is aimed at exploring innovative approaches to expand the event's reach while enhancing charitable outcomes. Vince Finaldi, who will take over the Concours Chair position this fall, highlighted the value of their extensive experience and insights into the automotive sector as key drivers for future advancements.
Todd Blue: From Dreams to Reality in the Automotive World
Growing up in Louisville, Kentucky, Todd Blue’s passion for automobiles was ignited when his father introduced him to a used 1979 Porsche 911SC Targa. His fascination with cars continued to develop throughout his educational journey at The George Washington University, where he pursued international business. With a rich background as a metals trader and real estate developer, Blue transitioned into the automotive market post-Great Recession. He began acquiring European sports cars and American classics, eventually establishing a significant luxury auto group that included renowned brands like Lamborghini, Audi, and Rolls-Royce.
Blue's journey with the Pebble Beach Concours spans since 2003, where he finally showcased vehicles in 2023 and 2024, marking his place in the world of automotive exhibitions. Notably, he secured a Second in Class for his 1972 Porsche 916 and a 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SC Cabriolet. His journey in the automotive landscape extends beyond mere participation; he is now the proud owner of LAPIS Automotive, which represents luxury marques such as Ferrari, Porsche, and Audi. In an effort to support the Concours, Blue established The Lap of Luxury Award in 2025, recognizing the ultimate luxury car and further engaging with the event's charitable efforts.
Tom Peck: Reviving Classics with Heart
Tom Peck's automotive story began in Long Beach, where he was enamored by the cars cruising down local boulevards, especially the captivating sound and design of Ferraris. While he devoted years to his family’s flooring company, Custom Building Products, the sale of the business allowed him to pursue his passion for cars more actively. Over the last two decades, Peck has transformed his dream into reality, restoring neglected vehicles and diving deep into their histories, with a particular interest in uncovering the stories behind each car’s uniqueness.
His first major achievement at the Pebble Beach Concours came in 2015 when a painstakingly restored Ferrari won its class—a pivotal moment in Peck's automotive journey. Since then, he’s showcased numerous automobiles, including a captivating 1954 Ferrari 375 MM Ghia Coupé, which drew enthusiastic attention at this year’s event. Beyond personal achievements, Peck is keen to give back; he recently established a challenge grant to match donations made to Pebble Beach Concours charities, reinforcing the notion that every contribution directly supports those in need.
The Future of the Pebble Beach Concours
The role of Advisory Board members is crucial to guiding the Concours as it celebrates its 75th anniversary. Their insights assist in navigating automotive trends, enthusiast interests, and the challenges faced by the broader automotive community. The upcoming event is expected to showcase a historic array of vehicles while honoring its illustrious ties to automotive racing.
As these two luminaries join forces at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the excitement builds not only in the automotive world but also for charity initiatives that underline the event's mission. For true enthusiasts and collectors, participation in the Concours represents an aspiration, a celebration of history, craftsmanship, and community engagement—elements that will only strengthen with the contributions of Todd Blue and Tom Peck.
