Experience the New Tasting Menu of 8 Types of Sake at ENGAWA ASAKUSA

Discover Authentic Japanese Sake at ENGAWA ASAKUSA

In the heart of Asakusa, Tokyo, a new cultural hub, ENGAWA ASAKUSA, officially opened its doors in October 2025. This multi-faceted store not only showcases the beauty of Japan and its innovative ideas but has also introduced an exciting tasting experience centered around Japanese sake. Starting March 26, 2026, visitors can indulge in the unique opportunity to sample eight carefully selected types of sake from across Japan in a tasting session designed to help guests discover their personal favorites.

The New Sake Tasting Experience

Set at a reasonable price of 5,500 yen (including tax), the tasting menu, aptly named "Finding Your Favorite Sake," is gaining popularity among foreign travelers eager to dive into Japan's famed sake culture. Participants will have the chance to savor a range of renowned sake brands, from the classic flavor of "Senpuku" to popular domestic and international selections like "ZAO." In addition, they will also be introduced to rare finds such as "Hyakuharu," brewed from rare local sake rice, and "Amabuki," which utilizes unique flower yeast. Each of the eight options will showcase distinctive tastes and characteristics reflecting the breweries from which they come.

Visitors will receive an explanation in English about the differences in flavor profiles and features of the breweries that produced these beverages. To make the experience even more memorable, guests will take home three of the eight types tasted, along with specially curated sake cups.
