Natural Grocers and Rodale Institute: Ladybug Love Campaign

Natural Grocers®, in collaboration with the Rodale Institute, is set to host its annual Ladybug LoveSM campaign throughout April in honor of Earth Month. This initiative encourages local communities to engage in preserving beneficial insects, which are vital for sustainable agriculture practices.

As a pioneer in the organic movement, Natural Grocers is committed to promoting environmental responsibility and supporting efforts that help farmers transition to regenerative agricultural methods. The Ladybug Love campaign is at the heart of these initiatives, encouraging consumers to recognize and pledge support for practices that protect ladybugs and other beneficial insects.

Supporting Regenerative Farmers

From April 1 to 30, customers visiting any Natural Grocers location can participate in fundraising efforts that directly benefit the Rodale Institute’s mission. This non-profit organization, renowned for its rigorous research and advocacy for organic farming, has been instrumental in demonstrating the link between healthy soil, nutritious food, and overall human health. With over 33 ongoing research projects across twelve sites, Rodale Institute leads the way in regenerative agricultural practices.

Funds raised during April will support Rodale Institute’s Farmer Training Programs. These immersive training sessions equip emerging farmers with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in organic crop production and sustainable practices. Rodale Institute's CEO, Jeff Tkach, expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating that support from Natural Grocers' customers contributes to small family farms and bolsters vital environmental initiatives.
