SuperX AI Technology Envisions a 1GW AI Computing Hub in Kazakhstan

In a landmark meeting held during the World Economic Forum's Summer Davos in Dalian, officials from SuperX AI Technology Limited, a full-stack AI computing solutions provider, engaged with Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. This significant conversation revolved around a proposed development of a 1-gigawatt AI computing park in Kazakhstan, which SuperX aims to leverage as a strategic entry into the burgeoning digital infrastructure market of Central Asia.

Kazakhstan's dedication to a digital transformation is underscored by its designation of 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence. The country's Digital Kazakhstan strategy emphasizes the need for an augmentation of sovereign computing capacities to diminish dependence on foreign technologies. This initiative is essential for transforming Kazakhstan into a potential digital hub for the Central Asian region, addressing the recognized shortage of local high-performance computing resources. The state investment entity, Kazakhstan Invest, is vigorously pursuing foreign partnerships to boost domestic capabilities.

During discussions, SuperX unveiled a structured investment and construction plan spanning three years. This roadmap proposes a phased approach to building the computing park, targeting an initial installation of a 200-megawatt computing cluster by 2027, followed by another 300 megawatts in 2028, and culminating in an additional 500-megawatt expansion in 2029. The vision is to create a comprehensive 1-gigawatt national intelligent computing center that would serve as a vital cross-border computing node, interconnecting European and Asian digital landscapes.

Furthermore, participants noted the importance of forming a tripartite joint working group to streamline various aspects of the project, including land utilization, energy provision, fiscal and tax frameworks, and the cultivation of local talent. The Kazakh government has expressed interest in collaborating with SuperX to perform localized site surveys, evaluating the viability of this ambitious project.

Huang Chenhong, the Chairman of SuperX, emphasized Kazakhstan's strategic geopolitical location, rich energy resources, and favorable investment climate as significant advantages for positioning the country as a core element in SuperX's global network of computing facilities. By leveraging its partnerships with NVIDIA, along with expertise in liquid cooling and high-voltage DC solutions, SuperX differentiates itself by offering integrated services that encompass both hardware and software deployments, setting them apart from standard hardware suppliers.

SuperX has proposed adapting its successful international data center model to Kazakhstan, intending to expedite the project's realization. The Prime Minister acknowledged SuperX's expertise in intelligent computing operations and welcomed ongoing discussions with Kazakhstan Invest to analyze the project's feasibility, paving the way for transformative developments.

Should this initiative succeed, it not only promises to fill crucial computing capacity gaps in Kazakhstan but also aims to enhance its local AI-driven industrial ecosystem. For SuperX, this proposal could represent a gateway to tap into the expansive digital infrastructure growth potential of Central Asia, enriching the company's cross-border computing schema spanning both Europe and Asia.

SuperX AI Technology Limited, headquartered in Singapore, specializes in AI infrastructure solutions, encompassing a broad range of proprietary hardware and software, alongside comprehensive services aimed at optimizing AI data centers. Their offerings include advanced design solutions, seamless integration of infrastructure products, and continuous operational support. By providing high-capacity AI servers, cutting-edge DC solutions, and innovative cooling technologies, SuperX caters to a diverse clientele, extending globally to enterprises, research institutions, and cloud services.

As Kazakhstan presses forward with its digitalization agenda, SuperX's proposed collaboration stands to significantly bolster the nation’s AI capabilities and infrastructure, potentially setting a precedent for future international partnerships in the tech industry.
