Unprecedented Satisfaction at IKUSA's Internal Event
IKUSA, based in Toshima, Tokyo, recently conducted a survey involving 620 participants from a company event it supported, revealing remarkable insights into employee satisfaction and engagement. With a satisfaction rate of 99.5%, the survey sheds light on the powerful impact of team-building activities and corporate events on internal communication and morale.
In today's corporate landscape, many businesses are turning to internal events as a strategy for addressing organizational challenges. However, there are often doubts about their effectiveness. This survey aimed to quantify the benefits of such events, moving beyond subjective perceptions to present clear data and participant feedback.
Key Findings from the Survey

Immersion Beyond Titles: An astounding 94.2% of respondents reported that they could forget their job titles and engage wholeheartedly in the activities. When asked about their ability to immerse themselves in the event, 58.1% said they completely forgot their titles, while 36.1% acknowledged they forgot to some extent. Notably, no one indicated they were unable to disengage from work-related thoughts.

Enhanced Communication: Post-event, 70.8% of participants felt that it became easier to have casual conversations and seek advice from colleagues. Specifically, 30.2% reported a significant improvement, while 40.6% acknowledged a slight increase in their willingness to engage with others. This aligns with previous findings from a separate study on workplace dynamics, which highlighted casual conversations as key to fostering psychological safety among teams.

Positive Outlook on Work: The event also seemed to uplift spirits, as 88.8% of participants expressed feeling more positive about their company and teams. Of these, 43.5% indicated they felt very optimistic, while 45.3% felt optimistic overall.

Discovering New Aspects of Team Members: A significant 91.6% experienced a revelation about their colleagues, noting unexpected facets of their personalities. This included 47.7% who had numerous discoveries and 43.9% who made some new connections.
