Cravens & Company Advisors Expands Investment Leadership Team
Cravens & Company Advisors, LLC (CCA), an independent wealth management firm based in Cookeville, Tennessee, recently announced significant changes to its leadership structure, aiming to bolster its investment capabilities and commitment to clients. With the appointment of Benjamin Doty, a seasoned Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), as the new Director of Investments, along with the promotion of Caleb Rouse to Advisor and Investment Analyst, CCA is strategically positioning itself for future growth.
New Appointment of Benjamin Doty
Benjamin Doty joins CCA with over 20 years of extensive experience in investment management. His most recent role was as Portfolio Manager at Legacy World Partners in Tampa, Florida. Doty's impressive background includes more than a decade at Koss Olinger, a multi-family office where he successfully managed a $2.1 billion investment program focused on ultra-high-net-worth clients. He holds a prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, known for its rigorous standards in investment analysis and portfolio management.
In his capacity as Director of Investments, Doty will be responsible for leading the organization’s investment strategies and portfolio oversight. This includes managing CCA’s proprietary Quality Focus equity strategy, multi-asset allocation framework, and private markets initiatives. Wayne Cravens, the firm’s President and Lead Advisor, highlighted Doty's rare blend of private wealth and institutional investment experience, emphasizing that his commitment to a client-first philosophy made him the ideal candidate to guide CCA's investment direction in this new chapter.
“Ben brings private wealth and institutional-caliber investment experience that is rare at a firm of our size,” said Cravens. “His depth, character, and commitment to a client-first investment philosophy made him the right person for this next chapter.”
Doty expressed enthusiasm for joining CCA, stating, “After 14 years in institutional investment management, I was looking for a firm where the work was meaningful, and the relationships were real. CCA checked every box.” His excitement extends to the Cookeville community, where he and his family look forward to settling down.
Caleb Rouse’s Promotion
In tandem with Doty’s appointment, Caleb Rouse has been promoted to Advisor and Investment Analyst. Rouse's expanded responsibilities will include investment research, portfolio analysis, and advisory work for clients. He holds a Series 65 license and has successfully completed educational requirements for financial planning through Boston University, recently achieving a preliminary pass on the CFP® exam.
Since joining CCA, Rouse has played a pivotal role in the firm’s investment research process. His promotion underscores CCA’s dedication to cultivating its next generation of investment professionals. Wayne Cravens praised Rouse, remarking, “Caleb has grown tremendously, and this promotion reflects what we see every day — someone who takes ownership, brings intellectual rigor, and cares about our clients.
