Foxwynd Foundation Grants $75,000 to Our Rescue for Child Protection in Riverside County

Supporting the Fight Against Child Exploitation

In a significant development in the battle against child exploitation, Our Rescue, a dedicated nonprofit organization, has received a generous grant of $75,000 from the Foxwynd Foundation. This funding is aimed specifically at enhancing the capabilities of the Riverside County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which plays a crucial role in protecting children from online threats.

The Mission of Our Rescue

Our Rescue has established itself as a prominent entity in combating sex trafficking and child exploitation worldwide. With its mission centered on not just rescue, but also prevention and education, the organization works closely with law enforcement agencies and community partners to safeguard the lives of at-risk children. The $75,000 grant will bolster Our Rescue's regional operational program, specifically focusing on the Riverside County ICAC Task Force.

As Derek Benner, CEO of Our Rescue, stated, "The Riverside County ICAC Task Force is vital in protecting children from online predators and dismantling networks of exploitation in Southern California." He further emphasized the invaluable support from the Foxwynd Foundation: "We are deeply grateful to the Foxwynd Foundation for their partnership and belief in our mission. This is a major step toward our audacious goal of fully funding all 61 ICAC Task Forces across the United States."

Enhancing Resources and Training

The financial grant will be utilized to enhance various aspects of the ICAC Task Force's operations. Improvements will include expanding digital forensics capabilities and updating investigative technologies that are essential for identifying and apprehending perpetrators of child exploitation online. Additionally, law enforcement training programs are set to receive support through this funding, ensuring that the personnel within the ICAC team are well-equipped to tackle such challenging situations.

The proactive and reactive investigations conducted by the Riverside County ICAC Task Force will be significantly supported by these advancements. Furthermore, preventive education resources will be made available to the public, ultimately ensuring a safer environment for children in the region.

Partnership with Foxwynd Foundation

The commitment displayed by the Foxwynd Foundation reflects its determination to partner with organizations that create a substantial and measurable impact in their communities. As mentioned by Bobby Gilchrist, Trustee of the Foxwynd Foundation, “Every child deserves a childhood filled with joy, hope, and safety.” This partnership is expected to enhance the collaborative efforts between Our Rescue and the ICAC, which together aim to build a strong network of law enforcement and community resources.

In the previous year alone, Our Rescue’s K9 program helped to arrest close to 24 traffickers, a testament to the organization’s effectiveness and the kind of tangible impact that the Foxwynd Foundation is eager to support.
